I heard that if one person has candida but the other doesn't, that they could give it to the other. I have it and have been on an candida diet for 4 mo's but I think my husband has it too. He has toe fungus, sugar addiction, fatique and countless other symptoms. Is it futile then for me to be on this expensive protocol when my husband could be giving it back to me through intimate situations? Please help someone, thx, Diane

Dear Diane don't know how true this is, but once read a book where a woman was suffering from severe Candida and basically tottered around her flat like an old woman. A year later her husband got the same symptoms and also became housebound. Makes you wonder. Whether you have to be genetically the type of person to aquire these things, who knows. Also read about someone who was basically in bed for 12 years and then found out she had severe Candida, was prescribed antfungals and was cured. It sure is all a bizarre mystery. Love Tracy x

a simple solution would be to have both you and your spouse start taking olive leaf extract , it is a ,anti fungal ,anti viral and anti bacterial, it works very well and is inexpensive .

Most people have candida in their digestive tracts. What makes a person sick is when the body can no longer keep the candida under control. This may be due to mercury poisoning, a high carbohydrate diet, high levels of stress, or a weak immune system. Adding antifungals(olive leaf extract, grapefruit seed extract, caprylic acid, garlic, and cinnamon would be a good idea. These will probably make you feel worse initially as the candida is being killed and toxins are released from it. Taking molybdenum will help detoxify your body of these toxins.

Thanks you guys for all your feedback but Im wondering if olive leave extract would be sufficient to kill candida for him without going on a candida diet. Thanks all of you! Diane

Candida tests are useless. Whether or not he is suffering from candida related illness depends on his state of immunity. Most people test positive for candida, but most are not sick from it. Olive leaf extract will kill candida. not all of it all at once, but it will decrease it. If someone is not on a low carb diet though then the candida may overgrow. If your husband is not ill from candida, then having him take olive leaf extract won't help you. You should take olive leaf extract.

Exposure to candida is not the problem. The problem is when your body doesn't keep the candida under control at low levels.

It would be pointless to kill the candida and keep feeding it, and it sounds like your hubby definitely has candida. You have to find the source, starve it and kill it. Have you considered using condoms until the matter can be properly resolved?
