Has anyone ever had an EDTA urine test? Is there any side effects or anything to consider before doing? When I sent my hair analysis test to my dr they called back and said come in so they could order an EDTA test for me. Does this test for all metals or just specific ones.

Dear Snowbird I went to a private hospital and had this done. They take a sample of your urine before and then put you on EDTA IV. This will pick up about ten different metals. The day after you have to have a vitamin drip to replace everything the EDTA removes. I would definitely recommend it. It does work. I don't know where you come from, but this is something I could not get done on the NHS, so had to pay, but it does work. I felt fine after, went out for dinner and felt fine.
