I have come across the DRM Diamond range mentioned favourably for compatibility on several Internet sources including this one but so far have been unable to find any local dentist that uses their products. Please note I am located in Perth Western Australia. I would appreciate it if any forum readers or members are aware of Dentists in Australia (particularly in Perth) who use them? I am also attempting to arrange serum biocompatibilty tests to ensure it is suitable for me before making any final decision.

If anyone could help out with Dentists names and location I would be most grateful.

Hi, I have NO idea. Someone might know, but I live in New Zealand. The only thing I can suggest is emailing a dentist here in my country, who I think used to work in Australia and he uses the diamond range of dental materials. He might be able to tell you of a few dentists who use these in Australia. He is one of the top biologic dentists and is very well informed on Diamond.

Thanks for that worth a shot I suppose. Though more likely to know Eastern States Dentists (if any) rather than 'in my neck of the woods' (West Coast) . Will post if I get a reply for others benefit. Not sure if the Diamond is my best fit as I haven't had Serum Testing yet (as you know from my other posts) but I am trying to arrange that. Just thought worth trying to find out. Actually a Dentist who is at least willing to try it providing they are competant/skilled enough would suffice!

Hi, no problem. I hope it works out. I know what you mean, sometimes it's easy to find a dentist that maybe in your country, but not in your actual area. Ongoing travel to get there is costly in itself and obviously you want to avoid that as much as you can.

I hope Dr Imbeau can give you some names of dentists that maybe able to help in your own area. What about contacting biodent? Would they perhaps send some of their product to a dentist willing to use it in your area if he/she hasn't already got some?

I have rung them and spoken to Ester. She confirmed they are the DRM Diamond distributor. Apparently they are located in Queensland. At present they are in the process of building a webpage - it will be www.biodent.com.au. She took my email and homephone number and said she would email me what she could find out about which Dentists (particularly those located in Perth WA) are using the products. She was happy for me to post those details on the forum for the benefit of all.
So when & if I get a response I will do just that.So a big thankyou Bex at least I will find out if anyone is using it and if not try and convince someone (provided it is the preferred biocompatible product for me).

Hi Lethal Lee, great to hear!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> I'm very glad to hear Dr Imbeau was able to help and hope that biodent will be able to direct you to a few biologic dentists in your area who use the product.

Any good and helpful dentist who doesn't use the product, should be open to using it if you request it. There should not be any issue at all. Biodent can send the materials and also information to the dentist on how best to place these materials. They are a little more tricky than the typical composites apparently and have to be done in a particular way.

At least that is what one guy from biodent told me on email. I wish I could recall his name, but I have lost both name and email! I think he worked from new zealand if I recall. He said that all I needed to do was get the dentist to get in touch and he would send the diamond materials to him/her, plus instructions on how best to place it if the dentist is not familiar with it.

Im sure anybody else working there would be able to do the same.

The email was sent by Hai Nguyen flexident@hotmail.com (Bex perhaps this is the person who you spoke/emailed previously) and the person I spoke to on the phone was Ester. DRM's Diamond product distributor in Australia is Biodent DRM Australasia Pty Ltd located in Queensland phone 1-800-041-748. They have no website as yet.
They are also emailing me some written info on Diamond products. I will post that when received.
Unfortunately the only WA based Dentist is located an 8 hour drive away. Oh well at least I now know the product is available in Australia and where to order it from!
