Be careful. After having 7 amalgams removed(I still have many more) I was feeling much better. Then a few weeks later I developed massive candida infections in my mouth. I suggest that you go on an anti candida diet and take antifungals. I am still fighting the candida infections in my mouth six weeks later, however they are now much less severe than they have been. I am using grapefruit seed extract. If you have had all you amalgams removed then you might want to consider taking chelating agents as well as antifungals.

Hi there, seems to be some real problems with some people who do or dont treat their candida. Someone on here "Patty" had horrible outcomes from die off and ended up in ER, yet others are a mess from NOT treating it.
I think personally that it is advisable to treat candida, but not to the extreme at first. When i first went on the diet, I was still including limited fruit (one or two a day) at first and limited grain, so I was still getting some carbs in there. Therefore the die off was not as extreme. I had no "sugar" or gluten/wheat, and eliminating those things enabled me to improve A LOT.
But strict diets, though advisable if a person has candida they may need to take it easy at first until they are through the intiial die off. Toxins that are released from dying yeast can include metals being released in the process. This can cause acute toxicity symptoms and I think Patty had this occur with her. I only had this when I went on antifungals. The diet did not do this to me, it only caused the yeast die off that one can expect when they are unable to feed on so much sugar.
So maybe eliminating sugar and gluten is quite dramatic enough in the early stages. But just to get a relief of symptoms at the end of the die off was a life saver for me.
I do not believe that feeding the yeast can ever be justified. It is alreadyovergrown from being in an immune deficient, metal toxic environment. The last thing anybody should do is feed it beyond that point into where it can go into fungal form and devastate a person's health.

had them removed almost 4 monthes ago, I started taking olive leaf extract about three weeks ago for the candida (did not know if I had candida ,it was just a precaution at time )and also doing castor oil packs three times a week for 1 hour to cleanse the liver and gallbladder ,this has really helped alot ,the only thing that I can't figure out is why my chemical sensativity is not getting better ( it may take longer I guess) I am just glad to see results after being sick for so long , now I can start helping my brother he is twice as sick as I was he also has a mouthfull of amalgams ,and still doesn't believe that fillings can be causing his illness ,even when he sees my improvment , but he is also on 2 types anti depressants ,2 types of painkillers for his back and knee ,and he is a smoker It is very hard to see him in that condition .knowing what I know now about amalgams , if I was a violent person ,I would be paying a visit to the ADA with some bad intentions for all the needless suffering that they have caused for so long
