Can anyone give me information on what immediate affects/symptoms exercise has on mercury toxic individuals? Does it really stir it up in your body and as a result make you feel temporarily worse? How long can one expect this phenomenon (feeling sick after exercise) to last if you've been detoxing at length for some time?

Hi, I have experienced this. I recall getting symptoms like hyped up, wheezing in the lungs, feeling an exacerbation of my usual symptoms, rashes on the body, metallic smell on the body, feeling whoozy (almost sick and dizzy/tired) etc.
Yes, it does stir up the metals in your body. It is a bit similar to having a very hot bath and stirring up metals to come to the surface of the skin. You may notice symptoms get worse as you breath some of this back in and you can get wheezing in the lungs, hyper, giggling spells, and rashes other odd symptoms and simply worsening of your existing symptoms and you can feel sick for hours afterwards or longer.
For everybody it is different though. This should really start to improve a lot later when you progress with chelation. It's the same with eating high sulfur foods. They may also cause an exacerbation of symptoms because sulfur can stir up mercury.
So exercise, hot baths, sulfur foods etc, usually cause reactions in mercury toxic people. Often it's a strong indicator of mercury and the requirement for chelation. Some people actually use all those things in an attempt to speed up their detox of mercury, but it is not the most comfortable way and not as quick or effective as a good well thought out chelation protocol.
Depends also how ill you are. You may find these things are of help or you may find they are too much and cause too great a worsening of symptoms without enough improvements to warrant that kind of suffering.
Andy Cutler warns against exercise and not to overdo it because it causes redistribution of metals. However, if you wnat to rid yourself of metals? redistribution is really not completely avoidable. key is to find a way that is effective at detoxing mercury but without too many side effects or risks of damage.

Exercise can make you really ill.
That is how we knew something was really wrong with me. After a weight training session along with a 3 mile walk could not move for over a week. Really mean could not think read or anything just sat around. This went on for months, do a tiny bit of anything, like get dressed in the morning had to lay down for a while before could make myself oatmeal for breakfast in the microwave. You get the ideal its is so hard to explain to healthy people. Finally realized that is was from Adrenal shut down although took months before understood it was from the mercury fillings in my teeth.
Had 4 pulled then 5 more and no they were not done correctly. So when finally knew to be tested for mercury the results showed in the blood test since it was done the week following the last set of teeth with fillings being removed. So very glad did not do them all at once as the dentist wanted not sure would have made it as got even sicker after the removable for a few weeks.
This is my 6 month of not being able to exercise. At present am able to only do things for about 3 hours once a week, then have to rest for the next week it is getting better just will take time.
Hopefully Chelating will make a difference.
Right now working on getting the adrenals and thyroid to work. Healthy food tons of vitamins and things.
