It all comes down to this: there are too many people on the planet. Period. 6.5 billion is far too many.
My parents rent a place on Mt Desert Island in Maine. This gorgeous place... which has some of the worst air in the country, as acid rain and industrial fumes blow across from the midwest. The trees are all withered and dead like that.
