Does anybody know what this might mean? I have been getting a continual build up of plaque on my teeth. To the point it's like chalk or something.
This is mainly behind the two bottom front teeth to the point I find I have to scrape them with something often to stop this. My gum have also receded. This seemed to start folling a course of antibiotics last year and has never ceased since.
I do not know what is going on and cannot just go into a dentist because I get extremely ill frm the mercury vapor in the office. Does anybody understand what might be happening here? I brush morning and night and I floss....

HI Bex.....I have read there is a symbiotic relationship with bacteria and mercury. Klinghardt wrote, " Most if not all chronic infectious diseases are not caused by a failure of the immune system, but are a conscious adaptation of the immune system to an otherwise lethal heavy metal environment. Mercury suffocates the intracellular respiratory mechanism and can cause cell death. So, the immune system makes a deal: it cultivates fungi and bacteria that can bind large amounts of toxic metals. The gain: the cells can breathe. The cost: the system has to provide nutrition for the microorganisms and has to deal with their metabolic products ("toxins"). That does not imply that the tolerated guest cannot grow out of control, as it sometimes clearly does." I brush with a teatree oil toothpaste and rinse with a solution of food grade hydrogen peroxide....it really helps. You can try oil pulling too, that is supposed to really clean out the toxins and subsequently reduce plague. It sounds gross, but I do it on occasion and just answer emails and the 15 minutes passes in no time at all!! http://www.oilpulling.com/Hope this helps some, Sandi xoxo

hi bex : without knowing your age,I can only say that my wife started perimenopause in her late thirties and had the same problem with her teeth ,and was told by her dentist at the time that it is caused by the hormonal imbalances caused by the perimenopause ,if you are younger than that than i would suspect hormones to be playing a part in it somehow.

Hi Bex, My gums were in perfect shape before I got my first amalgams. Six months later, they had started to recede. Ten years (and 7 or so mercury fillings) later, they were so bad that I had surgery to graft gum tissue to them to stop the receding. Only recently after learning about the mercury problem did I request the records and discover the correlation. I know from reading your other posts that you have been through the mill with the mercury, so it seems odd that this would have started just last year. I don't have answers for you, but I do have a suggestion similar to Sandi's... Please read the info at www.saveyourteeth.com (click on "the secret"). There is a lot of info there detailing what my dentist (and the one who removed Russ's amalgams) has found successful with gum issues and why. What he suggests is in addition to regular brushing and flossing. I know that the dentist also tested me for the pH level in my mouth, and it was acidic, so I was given a list of foods that is categorized by acidic and basic. I don't know if that contributes to plaque formation or not, though. It may only relate to tendency toward cavities. Let me know if that is something you would be interested in having, and I'll see about getting it scanned.

Hi thanks a lot guys for your comments. Wow, I'll take a look at everything you have suggested. I have at the moment got gum treatment, so giving that a go. Problem is, that will not stop the weird plaque formation so with that side of it, I have to scrape my bottom teeth (behind them) often.
It is very weird, like chalk dust. I really appreciate your help here. I am 34 by the way. It could well be hormonal. I think I'm a mess! Mercury could be related, but chelation is near useless for me these days. And I'm far passed amalgam removal (10 years). And detoxed much of it a long time ago. So what is happening now? I can only gather it's bacterial related and my system is full of it from infection etc...just an idea amongst the ones you have given me.

Try using grapefruit seed extract. Put about 6-8 drops in 16 ounces of water in a water pik and mix it well. Use this to clean your gums and between teeth. Grapefruit seed extract works against bacteria and fungi. You could also try taking grapefruit seed extract internally. Start out slowly, with 3 drops in 8 ounces of water(stir it carefully) 2 or 3 times a day then build up the dosage to perhaps 5 or 6 drops in 8 ounces of water 4 times a day.
