Hello
I have been very fatigued, weak and exhausted for some weeks now. Can barely walk because of the weakness. I wonder if it is wise to start the amalgam removal in this state? On the other hand, I might never get better if I dont start it soon. I would start it slowly with only 1-2 fillings. Any thoughts? Thanks

Finn my advice for what its worth is definately dont do it all at once. I was in the same state as you and thought, fantastic once they're all gone i'll feel great. Nope felt 10x worse if this was possible. Honestly thought I would drop dead. I know some people had wonderful results straight away. Some of us sadly not. I have been much worse and its about 10 months ago now. My Neuropath said if she had known what I had intended to do she would have talked me out of it,cos she knew I wasnt up to it. I know others who have ended up in the same position as me. You of course could be one of the lucky ones, but is it worth the risk? I would say no. I f I could turn the clock back, I definately would have done it a bit at a time. You may not feel any stronger and may have to start slowly, a couple at a time. I'm no expert and I know everyone is different. Then after that I had to go through the cavitation cleaning, and abcess growing into bone thing. I can honestly say I still have not recovered from any of this. Trust your own instincts, dont be rushed into anything and listen to your body. The best of luck Luv Tracy

This is a difficult one, and one that I struggled with. I had reached rock bottom when I had my fillings out - I was very fatigued, my adrenals were practically dead, and I was pretty much housebound. I got worse during amalgam removal and had to stop for a few months. this was despite good protection and only doing 1-2 fillings at a time. I had 12 amalgams and the removal process took 6 months.
With hindsight, I should have supported my adrenals and thyroid fully before embarking on the removal process. I got much better after a couple of months of taking cortisol and thyroid hormone, but I fear I damaged my adrenals more by removing my fillings without supporting them. I would definitely get your thyroid and adrenals tested before you start on amalgam removal, and support accordingly. Obviously taking other supplements like milk thistle, vitamin C, zinc, fish oil (mercury free), magnesium, vitamin B complex etc etc will also support your body throughout the removal. Diet should also be tightly controlled, with little or no sugar.
I'm sorry you're in this position - it brings back horrible memories. As Tracy says, I wouldn't do it in one go - I think this is way too much for a weakened immune system to cope with. Slowly and surely does it, but support your endocrine system first.
Best Nicola

I wholeheartedly agree with Tracy and Nicola, optimize your digestion and adrenals and get the candida under control, you will feel much stronger and your immune system will better be able to handle any mercury that is released thru removal.
best luck, Sandi xoxo

I'm right along with all the rest on this one.
Be careful and when they are removed, make sure the fillings are removed properly with all available safety precautions.
Keep us posted.

I suggest that you first go on an anti candida regimen for a few weeks before starting the amalgam removal. I suggest that you try using Grapefruit Seed Extract. It works against candida, viruses, and bacteria. I use the Vitamin Shoppe liquid, Different brands may vary greatly in strength. Shake it before use.Start out slow and dilute this stuff carefully! This is very powerful stuff! First try about 8 drops in 16 ounces of water in a water pik to disinfect your gums. This has helped me greatly with an infection of the gums. You might also want to take some internally. Start out very slowly if you decide to do this. Perhaps just 2 or 3 drops in 8 ounces of water( stir it carefully) 2 or 3 times a day. See how well you tolerate this.

Personally, I would NOT go aggressively after the candida before amalgam removal. I and many others have made things worse by killing off candida and releasing mercury bound in the gut, and increased overall mercury levels. Reduce the candida with good diet control, by avoiding sugar and keeping everything as low-carb as possible. You can get a good lift by diet alone. Perhaps use some natural antifungal like coconut oil, but avoid blasting the candida. If you are really mercury toxic, it will make you way worse. Concentrate on getting the amalgams OUT, and then chelating properly afterwards. Support your thyroid and adrenals while you do so. This will also help fight candida.
I am holding on the candida - amalgams out a year ago, chelating with DMSA, very low carb diet, no sugar, some probiotics which I tolerate well. I have tried the ThreeLac and other anti-fungals. They all made me worse. Reduce the mercury and the candida will slowly go by itself as your immunity gets better. Reduce the mercury, then blast the candida as you gain strength.

I would not work on candida until liver/gall bladder are clean, and then metals are lowered - you want to do candida last. Yes, grapefruit seed extract works great for 2 months then do a good probiotic to restore good bacteria because this stuff eliminates everything

Well I bet you are totally confused now. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> We are all different; some of us need to kill the yeast first, others need to chelate a bit of metals to tolerate the yeast killiers. I think that doing a good diet as NIcola says is your best bet and optimize your digestion first.
best luck, Sandi xoxo

It does not make any sense to leave candida till last. Candida gives off toxins continually and overloads other organs with their toxins. So trying to clean out the liver/gall bladder, at the sametime as not addressing the diet to me makes little sense.
I understand leaving the aggressive treatment of candida alone or until someone is ready for that because it can kill candida too much at onetime and the toxins from killing candida aggressively may overload a person as well. But one should do the diet as soon as they can.
The diet enables the body to reduce yeast naturally and slowly, it also helps the body elminate toxins, helps it heal and takes more load of the liver. By allowing the gut to heal, you allow the liver to heal also. Going on the diet alone is part of any detox plan. A person may well experience some die off as the diet does deny the yeast food and it will begin to starve. So a person is likely to get symptoms from that, but again at least it is slow, natural and in itself is a detox.
My dentist had me on a candida diet, plus addressed the liver and other organs with supportive homeopathic detox. He did not do one without the other for good reason.
There is no point in trying to detox a liver with anything if it is being poisoned again at the sametime with the ongoing gut problems. If the gut is sick, the liver is usually sick.
