Had amalgams out a week and a half ago. I had jaw pain where the needle for numbing was applied for a few days and then it went away. A week to the day after the removal, the jaw pain returned. I am unable to open my mouth more than an inch - very painful. Has anyone experienced this? Do you know why it is happening? Any insite would be appreciated.

Well that is unusual, but I have jawlock myself. I get it when my body tends to be attempting to eliminate toxins and my jaw will lock up to the point I can hardly fit a toothbrush into brush my teeth (ring any bells?).
It's possible, but this might sound far fetched, sometimes when there has been a bit of an injury or something, that the body will retrace the symptoms to try and heal the problem.
E.g. something someone had a while back may reappear again in order to heal. Also they talk about the 7 day immune cycle, which seems that whatever you had done on oneday, your immunity tends to go down hill on the same day the next week, and so on.
So this maybe what is happening to you. It may go again, and then recur. But if it continues? Then you will have to go and see someone to get it looked at and see if there has been any damage done.

Most likely your gall bladder meridian is inflammed - this is connected to your liver..... liver is one of the main places that mercury will effect and be stored causing problems. You need to do a gall bladder and liver detox Probably homeopathic would be best You will see this meridian around the ear - your jaw is in here also http://www.acuxo.com/meridianPictures.asp?point=GB36&meridian=Gall+Bladder

Thanks for answering me Bex. Yes, I can barely get the toothbrush in my mouth! This is in the top 10 weirdest things that has happened to me since being mercury poisoned. I called the dentist this morning. He said that it was from the shot for numbing the jaw going into the jaw muscle and is causing muscle contractions. He is prescribing a muscle relaxer.

Thanks anonymous. That is very interesting, esp since I have had gallbladder problems in the past.

That has happened to me as well. my jaw muscles are very tight and I feel soreness in my gums even on the other side of my mouth from where the dental work was done. i have to expend effort just to keep my teeth from clenching.

Muscle relaxers will hurt your internal organs by relaxing them also. Something to consider if you are detoxing, relaxed kidneys will not be helpful.
I would try simply massing the area gently for a few days, maybe use a mild heat pad, or warm washcloth. Warm oil, coconut for instance may also be helpful, mild and compatable enough. Castor oil is known to help draw out toxins.
The magnesium also sounds good.
Personally I think you all might have mercury in your gums and jaw muscles, all my teeth hurt also after some bad dentistry, it went away within a few hours of a DMPS IV (after weeks of suffering).

I have also had jawlock after cheating on my diet, so that's another one I can get. But if I get back on track, it goes again. Another thing to consider too, I guess it's all due to toxic load though and weak areas possibly suffer and begin to act up.
again, obvously it was the injection that caused that to you, so I hope things will eventually ease up!!!
