Clare, I have the same vision and balance problems that you do. And I also hear people but am not processing what they are saying. It is really scary. I am planning to begin amalgam removal soon but am so scared what is going on will get worse. I totally understand where you are at.

yep, I get these. They tend to fluctuate though and I think it's closely correlated to fatigue. Where I work I have to mop floors at the end of the night, and one time a co-worker observed it looked like "the mop handle was the only thing holding me up". I often times tend to "slip" with my feet for no real reason.

Clare,

I wanted to let you know of a couple of opininions that I have on physiological reasons for the vision problems. I went to an eye dr. that specializes in behavioral optometry and he told me that I would benefit from vision therapy. He said that my eyes do not work together; accomodate one another and eye therapy would provide a series of exercises that would train my eyes to work together. I have not done it yet because of time and $ but am thinking about it. I know Andy Cutler highly recommends this therapy for kids and claims it helps. I also know a couple of learning disabled, ADD kids who did this and it helped. However, i have also been told by my TMJ dr. that the vision problems could very well be related to my TMJ problems. As my TMJ is so severe, I tend to feel this makes sense for me and when I move my jaw manually wider with my hands to change where the myofasia lays, I can feel improvements in the vision. A series of Trigger point injections were recommended for me to address this. (or braces and palate expanders - which I am afraid to even contemplate). Again, a lot of $ for trigger point injections - much more than the vision therapy so I am deciding if I should do this (or see if there is a difference after I start amalgam removal).

Maybe one of these areas would be worth you looking into ... I don't know if the causes are the same for you.

You can get relief from tigger points in your sternocleidomastoid muscle (along the side of your neck) via a massage therapist who has studied trigger points. The clavicular head of the SCM muscle is notorius for making a person feel dizzy. I have really old trigger points in my left SCM and they make me dizzy when I turn my head to the left. Especially when I am laying down. When I get out of bed in the AM I'm wobbly and I used to suffer from bouts of vertigo.

Merc seems to settle in those lovely neck muscles of ours. I think massage therapy is a wonderful thing to add to your detox toolbelt.

Is it obvious that I'm a massage therapy student?

In health!

I'm a newbie...just starting my amalgam removal journey.
