I am writing this with great suprise that I am still here. Yesterday my stomach got stuck under my ribs, which has happened before, but this was worse than ever. From my throat to my abdomen felt like it was swollen inside and I could hardly catch a breath. My breathing became so compromised Keith had to call the paramedics. I had terrible lower spine pain and agonising pain in my calves. When I got to the hospital, what happened can only be described a s the biggest nightmare. My body felt paralised and the pain was unbearable, I could only catch a small breath every now and again, My body began to contort and I know I was dying. I have never felt anything like it before. I kept trying to tell the doctor but couldnt explain. I felt myself being pulled into a void and didnt want to go. I was pleading for someone to help me but they just told me to be quiet. I could feel my heart getting slower and slower. They didnt put me on a monitor or anything. For three hours I fought this death experience. It wasnt just a case of feeling faint or passing out, it was death around the corner and I know it. I felt like my spine was going to snap and kept losing conciousness. They ran the usual blood tests and said go home. I thought Im going to die in the car and couldnt believe I made it home, I was so pleased to get into my own bed and was sure Id be dead by the morning. I really have no idea how Im still here, I cant explain how horrific the whole thing was and of course now wonder about the future. My god I dont want to go through that again, but if its got to this stage I have to question if theres any hope for me now. I cant believe this is happening to me, I am very scared and have no idea what to do now.

Thats a very severe Panic attack. These can take forms of severe symptoms and fear...some people dont even have fear but have the really bad sensations.
My grandad has this alot.

Tracy,
I think the wisest thing to do would be to find a doctor who understands your condition and who may be able to help you.
I am praying for you Tracy.

Tracy,
I do not know exactly what happened to you, but if you had pain in your calves and associated difficulty in breathing your doctors must think of pulmonary embolism. it seems that you had a fleeting attack of that and not a massive one. I suggest you take 75 mg of aspirin per day to keep your blood thin and to prevent clotting. Please go back to your doctors and explain that and ask them to take matters a bit more seriously than the casuality doctors did.
I wish you better.
best wishes.
