This is a weird one. When I had my fillings in, I had no metallic taste. As I got my fillings removed over 6 months, I had the odd day of metallic and excessive saliva, which quickly passed. Now, I am 9 months post amalgam removal (9 months of hell, I might add), slowly feeling better but I have this metallic saliva all the time every day. It's like acid in my mouth, and it spoils the taste of my food. Can anyone explain why this is happening, when my mercury levels should be much lower, and coming down. Is it the mercury coming out? It's driving me crazy!!
thanks Nicola

Yes, unfortunately, detox is similar to being mercury toxic because of the mobilization and redistribution of the mercury.
I used to drool on my pillow (sleeping) several years before my amalgam removal (it just started happening one day) and then it stopped immediately after my amalgams were removed.
I can only guess that something caused a large mercury mobilization which cause this to happen to you. Perhaps something you didn't think of like, milk, eggs, excessive protein, etc.
Just a thought.

Sometimes when amalgams are in, people's bodies can be in a state of chronic toxicity and simply remaining in storage mode. Then, when they are totally removed, you can then start to go into detox mode. Either way, it's extremely unpleasant.
So it's likely that your now metallic taste, is from all the years of having those amalgams and is beginning to shift and leak back out of you. So often people feel worse after the last amalgam has been removed, it seems to set off the body to start leaking out its storage. Some people are lucky and seem to just improve. Some improve at first, then later on get hit by the detox.
So for everybody it's different.
