Well I had my second chemo on Thursday and today is Sunday and I still feel like I have been poisoned...it is not fun stuff. I am still nauseaus...(sp?) and have not much appetite. I guess each session is cumulative and the toxins build up. If I had my druthers, I would not have opted for chemo, but as my colon was totally blocked off by tumors, there was really no alternative. Here is a site that I would have tried, had I known about this sooner. Unfortunately you can't combine this treatment with chemo....the chemo is too toxic to flush out with this cleansing regime...it would be too much for your liver to eliminate. http://www.gerson.org/g_therapy/default.asp So that is my update, sorry it is not so inspirational, and I responded to a few posts this am, but I reached my limit. I have also read on another site that the EMF's from some computer screens are not good for the mercury toxic, so am trying to limit my exposure, also cell phones, tv's, portable phones etc. Going to make some more ginger tea, sorry I don't have better news. But I sure could use some prayers. Sandi xoxo

Sandi,
No need to apologize. I think that you are handling this just about as well as anyone could, even better. You are an inspiration to us all. Sorry that the Chemo is making you feel so nauseaus.
I've wondered about the computer screen and cell phones, and stopped using the microwave last month. Really don't miss it.
Thank you for keeping us up to date. You are in the prayers of many on this forum and in our thoughts.

Sandi, Sorry to hear your not feeling well <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> You seem like your a stong women and have done your research. I mentioned in the last e-mail about the NCD, it would really help you while your doing chemo. The cage like structures grab the cancer cells and eliminate them from the body. It would help in shrinking your tumors. It also builds your immune system up, which right now you need. I hope you feel better soon <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> My prayers are with you! -Treva

Sandi Im also praying for you with everyone else too,
While your on Chemo, please check out the following.
get some Melatonin. It destroys substances that cause tumors as well as other body mutations. It is not only for insomnia. Also, it is a good antioxidant that also indirectly helps the Thymus gland.
If you have to get radiation later, St. John's Wort protects bone marrow and intestinal mucous from x-ray and radiation damage.
Pau'D'Arco also has tumor inhibiting effects-- and also fights AIDS and Cancer in general- as well as inflammatory bowel disease.
Milk Thistle doesn't cause Detox symptoms by detoxing your liver- - but it helps it withstand the onslaught of toxins the liver already is facing. It gives the liver an edge over extra toxin burden.
It also has shown anti-cancer effects with breast and prostrate cancer and it stimulates production of new liver cells. It is not effective as a tea- but more effective in capsule or extract form.
I was surprised to learn that Fennel has been shown useful for Chemotherapy and Radiation treatments! Also useful for acid stomach and it promotes kidney, liver and spleen function.
It is okay to take Fennel during Chemotherapy and radiation treatments. You can get it in tea form or the seasoning.
Blessed Thistle has also shown promise against cancer. It is also a blood purifier.
Apricot kernals also have been shown to kill cancer cells as does Essiac Tea and Kombucha Tea.
While incorporating what you can from the above, please avoid chemicals in household products and toiletries when possible- even go as far as using a napkin or towel in your hands when filling your gas tank. Use non-toxic versions of dishwash liquid, other cleansers and laundery detergents--and toiletries and cosmetic alternatives.
Don't even wear your typical perfumes-- use a natural alternative instead. Reason being that your body can't afford any more chemicals at this time.
Hang in there! luv Boldylocks

EMF's is a gray area. I know of one prominent homeopath who instructs all his patients to avoid EMF exposure during a treatment regime which can last up to 10 days, and some patients have to avoid them every day. He says that EMF's excite the mercury, so it sticks instead of being excreted. But this has probably to do with the fact that his treatment is homeopathic (energetic), so maybe man-made electro frequencies counteract the treatment working. It maybe doesn't apply to the other well known chelating agents so much. In any case, his methods failed for me, and the EMF avoidance didn't help my sanity. It certainly doesn't help if you want to do research.

Sandi,
I hope you're feeling better today! I'm sending you special chemo hugs and much prayer, my friend. You just hang on tight. Your tumors are shrinking and remember to focus on that, even when you're feeling wretched.

Thanks to all of you, I am feeling much better today, I think the chemo is working the hardest when you feel the worst, so I am just resting and letting it do its job...I think I can feel the tumors shrinking as the days go by...the one big mass seems to be smaller...crossing my fingers.
Thanks for all the tips Boldy, I have most of them in my cupboards, I just needed the reminders to take them...so much to swallow and hardly enough hours in the day.
I had some NCD but I must have fallen from my purse, it was never opened and I paid $50 for one little bottle. I will keep it in mind but right now, I have tons of other remedies and not enough cash to buy anymore.
You guys are so great, I can't wait until I am well enough to really participate in this forum again.
Best love, Sandi xoxo

Here is the latest....I was sick as a dog again last night, my body feels like it has been poisoned, not actually vomitting anymore, but almost like the worst die off and having shooting pains in my abdomen. But I felt the mass around my navel and it has all but disappeared !!!! ...so the chemo is definitely breaking up the big tumor and hopefully doing a number on the smaller ones too.
My body must be absorbing all the dead cancer cells into the blood and out through the liver and that is why I feel so ill, but it is a good sick feeling and I am embracing it with all my heart...as best I can .
Just had to share, now I can't wait until the scan to get the real results...maybe they will be all gone and I won't need surgery, or not so extensive anyway...wouldn't that be the ticket!!!!
love you guys,
Sandi

You are so brave Sandi. Remaining positive throughout all this must be so difficult, and yet you sound so bright and cheery. You are doing so well. Hang in there! My thoughts and prayers are with you.
