I have been taking high Selenium for detoxing and I just realised Selenium is PURE YEAST.
Whats the point in doing a candida diet when im taking a yeast supplement?
ALso I find I am more depressed doing the candida diet because I cant eat anything and I dont really know what foods im allergic, intolerant or sensitive too as the test I di dmight not be accurate.
Is the YORK test for sensitivities and INtolerances and Allergies?

HI Paul, there is every reason to do the candida diet, regardless of taking a yeast stupplement or not. It is not certain whether yeast feeds yeast, but it seems that those with candida can get reactions to it, which can complicate the illness. Some do "ok" on "some" yeast, some do not.
It is wiser to get yeast free supplements and selenium is easy to get yeast free. You just look for one in the health food shop and find yeast free. The best one is yeast free selenomethionine.
Also, candida will make you far less tolerant of many foods, so you'll seem to be allergic to almost anything and everything.
The candida diet, should reduce yeast and help your immune system. Also be aware, that during yeast detox/ die off, you can get what you think are allergic reactions, they can very often be healing reactions! Examples might be sneezing, coughing, rashes/hives etc.
So the main thing is to concentrate on reducing yeast and eating healthy foods, rather than attempting to find anything and everything you might be allergic to. You could go crazy doing that and as I stated, yeast can cause this in the first place.
It is best to fill yourself up on meats, eggs, healthy fats (butter, lard, extra virgin olive oil, virgin coconut oils etc, pure fish oil (cod liver oil, mercury free), and the vegetables you can eat. Having some raw nuts might be ok (brazil and almonds) and plain sugar free acidophilus yoghurt. But be cautious with them at this stage.
Trust me, the candida will have you wanting to go off this diet any chance you get. You'll be tempted to ditch it, or cheat on it, becuase candida is a tough customer and does not wish to do "without". you will be the one to feel hungry, but so often it's the yeast itself. That's why it takes will power and determination and patience.

No you won't get intolerant to them. You may get symptoms though they seem like "allergies" but they are usually healing symptoms. You can eat as much of those things as you wish to fill you up. They are very healthy and healing and have the fats with them, they are very important. Here is a website I encourage you to look at http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/ In the early stages of healing candida, you have to be very strict. You can't include anything like fruit or milk or grain etc, you maybe able to later as you improve and heal.

HI, I'm not sure if you can do that or not.... You might want to go on this forum here ---> http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/candidiasis/and ask about that. It's a good forum, but has a few contradictions from bee's recommendations, as this group believe in using things like undenatured whey, selenium, inulin for candida and toxic issues, whereas Bee doesn't recommend them. So it's really up to the person what they find helps them or hinders them. The forum for Bee is http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/candidasupport/I would suggest that you join both forums, as they are excellent, though as I mentioned, there are some arguments between them on certain things, I like to use both. Perhaps you could ask that question on both and see what answers you get. Cheers
