Hi Russ and everyone,

I came across the "Save the Internet.Com" website and was glad to see they have a section where you can write an online customizable "voice your opinion" letter to Congress defending Internet Freedom.

The site is http://www.savetheinternet.com/

the customizable e-letter is on : http://action.freepress.net/campaign/savethenet

As you may already know-- Our illustrious Mega communication companies like Verizon, Cingular, etc., are supporting a move to turn the free internet into something heavily taxed. This would also mean that all but government approved websites will have easy consumer access- - but smaller ones will not be able to afford to remain online. Also, I read that the government in America wants to work with this Nuetrality law to forbid any alternative websites--including Alternative health websites.

There is much more involved that will take away our luxury of free education that we still enjoy for now. My view on this whole matter is that now that internet access is common for even the lower middle-class and poor, the Powers That Be don't really want the masses to have access to that free information they feel would be too controversial and unflattering to organized politics, organized medicine, or just about anything that is government/corporate controlled. They feel the less we know, the better and this way they can keep a handle on all of us. Before, when only the wealthy and upper middle-class- first had public internet access, it was no threat to them, but now that almost everyone has internet access- they see we need another "Dark Ages" for "our good" and to their relief.

C'mon.. If they really were not using this to keep us under control, they would simply have websites like "How to build a bomb" shut down, but permit the majority of everything else to remain-- but their plan is more in the line of controlling freedom of speech --and out of $$ greed, the telecommunication companies are all too happy to cooperate.
