i have greatly benefited from the knowledge I have gained from Russ, Laura and the users of this forum for the past 2 years. I have no idea why the vast majority of the posts now relate to debating dentists credentials;whether they are practicing in North America or Europe. I also do not think that is the main, or even minor, benefit of the forum. As one frequent user I would suggest to those who seem to have personal vendettas that they find another resource and leave this forum.
I do feel for you who have developed personality traits that do not become you because of mercury on the brain. But please do not ruin this forum which many of us who are serious about recovering from the disease use to assist our recovery. To my way of thinking you are doing nothing to assist others when you involve your personal problems on this website. We all have our good days and bad with mercury; and the best way to deal with a bad day(s) is to shut up and just read others posts. That may give you a tip or two on getting out of a herxheimer

No sir.
To overcome an injustice is to voice yourself, to dissent from the people and organizations that have caused us all to be here in the first place. We are here because the ADA put us here. We are here because certain dentists put us here. We are here because there are fraudulent sales pitches designed to take our money when we were and stilll are vulnerable.
I am getting tired of the "just shut up and take it" mentality that has overcome this country. Why do we have mercury in our mouths after 150 years of amalgam use? Because we HAVEN'T voiced our complaints!

Alcan, with all due respect - You will note, there are many other subjects on this thread for you to address and respond to, or ask on. If you don't like one subject or a thread, can you not move on to many other ones available?
If people wish to respond to a thread that is to your disliking or one you find childish or repellent, must you patronise or use belittling terms to describe those who do? or attribute it to mercury influence?
I can well understand your point in regards to some of the ongoing petty back and fro arguments, but let us not forget here that patients often post things in an attempt to help or warn others from a similar outcome. Yes we have to be very careful doing that and I'm not in agreement with all things that were said. I do understand your point in some of this, but again, the forum is open and for those to discuss and aid eachother, (warn too if necessary). yes it's a fine line, risky also. But you'll note, the other topics continue as they were, people respond as they did, there is only one or two threads (which I assume your referring to) that could be construed as being an issue in some areas.
But let's not forget the person who may have suffered a mishap at the hands of another (or someone in that area). . perhaps if you had experienced or been on the end of some of this yourself, you'd not be so flippant in your lack of concern or so hasty in such a remark, which I find a little demeaning. your entitled to your opinion of course.
I remind you that this forum is open and people have a right to comment. Your annoyance and concerns maybe valid in some areas, but I don't believe it's that cut and dry.
As for those responding on the other one, the serious matter behind it worthy of concern and action, thank you for responding and for standing up for Russ and the threat this forum maybe taken down (hopefully not). Certainly, it's good to see people rally behind him regardless.

Well Said Bex,
If you dont like what you read dont read it. If the posts are to personal for your liking dont read them. Thats what the subject matter is there for, if it sounds childish or not to your liking - move on.
Discussing personal issues on this forum is the only thing thats kept some of us hanging on and believe me its gotten me through alot of very dark days. Who else have we got to turn to when everyone else thinks "its all in our heads" - only eachother.
I suggest you select more carefully next time the posts you chose to read and allow the rest of us to find comfort and strength in the words, experiences and opinions of everyone else here..
