The issue of mercury vapour remaining in teeth after amalgam removal has recently been brought to my attention on one of the threads about Dr Heasham El-Essawy. This is the first time i have heard of this theory. He states that when amalgam fillings are removed mercury vapour remains in the tooth. And that if new composite fillings are placed straight away this can lead to this mercury remaining trapped under the fillings and continue to cause problems.
Does anyone know anymore about this issue? I am interested to know more

This is similar to my post about post-amalgam removal worsening of symptoms. I think if mercury vapour were that obvious an issue, and removing it so crucial to recovery, both Cutler and Huggins would have mentioned it. What about all those who have recovered without checking for vapour. I am inclined to file this one under 'scam', or at least, personal preferences.

I recovered dramatically from amalgam removal, as did my business partner, Laura. We both had all our fillings replaced in a single day (although I don't recommend this for everyone) and have never had them changed. I would not doubt that mercury works its way into all types of tissue, including enamel, gums, bone, etc., for all are porous at some level. Just a thought.

Russ, do you think Dr Hesham El-Essawy's procedure then is unecessary? It is not making much sense to me especially the bit about the mercury then getting stuck under the new composite fillings. If mercury gets into tissues such as bones and can detox out of there then surley the teeth should be able to detox in the same way.
