Hi all, just a quick update on my condition and my absence. I have been busy moving and packing and decluttering and downsizing...had to move to a smaller cheaper place to afford the rest of my dental work and I am almost done. WHEW! What a job!!! 6 months ago this would have killed me, but I am almost done and feeling great.
I want to encourage all those that are not responding well after amalgam removal to stick to the candida diet cause I think that has made the biggest contribution to my recovery. I can now have the odd cheat without serious consequence, but not one drop of gluten or dairy....including yogurt!!! Mercury makes those 2 things almost impossible for us to digest and it just builds up in the gut, a sprinkle of cheese here and a bit of sour cream...it is cummulative. I even started clarifying my butter like I did in the beginning of my diet and it makes a huge difference.
I hope to resume my DMSA soon now that my elimination is working efficiently again.
Just my 2 cents, back to unpacking!! Sandi xoxo
p.s. And taking a good probiotic called Natren really helped too...expensive, but if you take that..you can eliminate alot of other supplements. I was having trouble with good elimination until I added that and lots of natural sauerkraut to my diet.

Sandi, Good on ya, my friend, for holding up so well during such a stressful time!!
I've had great results with the Natren probiotic as well.
Keep your chin up, dear heart!

Could one of you post up a link to that probiotic you speak of?

Hi strength,
The probiotic is called Healthy Trinity by Natren. Has to be kept refrigerated. Natren has a website with all the info on it.
This isn't the only probiotic I take. I like to cycle my probiotics. But I've been impressed with the results of Healthy Trinity. In the past, it really helped my IBS symptoms.

Sandi. Glad to hear you are doing well. I happen to be one of those people that are not tolerating the chelation very well. I'm really sticking to the diet, but just seem to be feeling worse and worse. I tried a new probiotic called lactobacillus GG and had a very bad reaction. Intense fatigue, crying everyday, very frustrated, and having negative thoughts. It all went away with in a day of stopping this probiotic. Very strange reaction and kind of scary. I may try the one you mentioned. I'm not sure what else to do. I seem to be doing everything I should and still not feeling better. I am going to take a month off from the chelation and hope that this will help. Thanks for the encouraging words. I needed it. chigirl

Well I am all settled in and got my computer hooked up again...I was using my hubby's laptop and it was like working with a scratchpad.
And I am feeling so good, I think that old house we were living in was full of mold...and was really hampering my recovery.
I am sorry that you are not feeling well Chigirl...have things improved at all?
Dawn, the sauerkraut I use is non pasteurized from the health food store. It is made locally here by a community of natural organic farmers. I think Miri from the YC has some recipes...I will write and ask her if you like.
And the Natren and the sauerkraut are working so well for me...and of course avoiding all gluten and dairy..but I must admit I have slipped a bit with all the Christmas parties and no ill effects so far. Things are looking up finally....now I just have to deal with the rest of my extractions in January...but in the meantime I am just enjoying my wellness.
And I wish the same for all of you guys....healing thoughts and prayers for all of you. Please don't give up, there is help out there for all of us. It is just a matter of finding it.
Best love, Sandi xoxo

Here is the link to the probiotics.... http://www.natren.com/index.aspIt didn't do much for me that first time around..but then I was still using regular butter too. I also started clarifying my butter (or making ghee) and I think that may have made a difference too. Dairy and gluten have a cumulative effect and really clog up a mercury toxic person. Best luck with it, Sandi xoxo
