Do you also have poor room to room short term memory? I guess most of us have a short term memory problem, but I'm thinking more of forgetfullnes that you get when you change your surrounding, like going from room to room. I always have something like that when eg. I want to get something from the kitchen, so i go out of my room, but once I reach the kitchen I forget what I was supposed to take! Then I have to go back to the room to recall it.

anyone else has this?

Yeah its crazy... i go to make a cup of tea, put it down somewhere, go to my computer and later think ooh i fancy a cup of tea forgetting that i just made one.
I found a lukewarm cup in the bathroom once, how the hell did it get there?!
Other things like, i cant be bothered doing the dishes/washing or whatever.. then discover they've mysteriously already been done earlier [by me obviously!]

Yes, I feel relieved to hear this. I though I was going crazy. I will do all these things to the point I really think I've lost it. I will make a cup of tea, drink it and complain I never had one and not have any recall of drinking it.

I will not know what i had for dinner, I won't know what I was going to do and I'll sit there blank. I don't know what causes it, but obviously the toxicity etc is just basically causing a lot of misfiring in the brain and dullness and things are just not functioning as they should.

It's just ridiculous. At times, I think i'm just ageing fast or something. But I've had this for a while now. I'm in my thirites.

Yeah, yesterday evening I put the coffee on the gas stove (wanted to brew it for a coffee enema) and went to my mother's room to talk about - guess what! my health:(- and after an hour or se we went to the kitchen and my mum yelled at me all mad how "usual" it is for me to leave things on the stove brewing, and I told her I just compeltely forget about it the moment I leave kitchen, so she says to me to remind her to remind me later about things I might forget about (like leaving things on the stove) and I tell her I WONT EVEN remember to remind her of it. It's crazy and it leads to a lot misunderstandings with the folks around:(!

lol, yeah it's like people signing up for a group therapy course on memory problems and and then forgetting to turn up.

I know this well with that. I cannot now leave the room if I put something on teh stove, I have to set a timer, because I will walk out and forget. I now have to set alarms no matter what I do, because if I'm told to pick someone up or do something, once i've been told, if I don't set my alarm at that moment, i'll forget.

This is very difficult, because i live with my 75 year old father that has a bad memory and then there's me who is ill who has a bad memory, so we really make an interesting pair. I'm surprised we haven't burned out house down, but luckily we have fire alarms

I used to have memory issues perfectly similar to the ones you are all mentioning. I would do all the things that you've mentioned. It was utterly frustrating.

I also always had a problem with people's names. I could remember faces but could not remember their name. I was the last pick in any memory-type game or trivia board game.

Not anymore.

In 2002, about 2 years after my amalgam removal, my memory started to return so dramatically that I would talk about it almost daily with my business partner Laura.

I can now recall movie star names and other facts about their lives and I am no longer the last pick for trivia games. In fact, I've become one of the best in the groups I've played with. In fact, my memory is now better than it's ever been in my entire life, and not just a little. It's so much better that it's contributed significantly to a change in my life.

I can often look at a phone number and remember it indefinitely. When I see someones face on TV or in person, their names comes back to me instantly. It's truly like a computer database pulls up the name for me as soon as I see a face. This kind of memory was unheard of for me at any time in my life. I cannot say enough how this has improved my life and helped me to be more sociable.

Now, I do occasionally have spells where I forget simple things or forget a name I knew a few minutes ago, but that is now an exception, not the norm.
