Just been to a meeting with the head doctor of the practice. He said my symptoms were too hard to manage and anybody who walks into the surgery with symptoms they dont understand they are automatically diagnosed as a psychiatric patient and theres nothing you can do about it. He said the NHS is now a farce because all the doctors do is protect themselves and their own jobs and only treat the basice stuff. He said that there were 12 other patients like me and basically we are waste material, they dont like to send us to specialists in case theyve got it wrong and he had to protect himself and his own mortgage. He said he would reccommend behavioural therapy to help me deal with my illness and I said no thanks. I said I dont think you have the right to diagnose me as psychiatric and he said we can do what we want. He said all doctors in America were not interested in diagnosing their patients any more as long as they were making loads of money. So I said there must be some caring doctors out there and he said no theres not. So I said what your telling me is to have no faith, you dont care about me and if people struggling with severe illnesses killed theirselves you wouldnt care. He again said that wasnt his problem he has to just protect himself and his job. He also said that if they decide they cant manage my illness which is obvious as he didnt even want to discuss it they would just strike me off the practice. I said that doesnt give people much faith in the human race any more what youre saying and he just said its all about money. I said well it was a psychiatrist who diagnosed me with a medical illness and he said that makes no difference. Sums it all up He also said not to look onto the internet as any advice given was by quacks and all oof us who believe it are gullible and psychotic

This is the SAME thing I was told, Tracy. When I went to see my doctor, he said people are hypochondriacs, and don't trust what you see on the internet, people read all of this stuff and think they have all of it. When I first told my dad that I think I am being poisoned, he told me his doctor had said to him in the past, "Don't believe everything you see on the internet." BTW my dad doesn't believe that I'm poisoned, because he has fillings too and says he is ok. He also admits he has unexplained health problems, and that the fillings in your teeth couldn't cause poisoning, because EVERYBODY has fillings. Grrrr.
I told my husband just last night, the internet is saving my life. I told him with tears running down my face, that if it wasn't for the internet, I wouldn't know what is wrong with me. I would spend the rest of my life, getting sicker (and maybe even dying) and no one would ever know why. They would end up locking me up, for going all crazy, because the medical profession would not know what else to do with me. I have said how sad it is that so many people are locked up right now in some facility, with no hope of getting better, when all they had wrong with them is mercury in their mouth.

This is unbelievable, I wish you could have recorded that conversation...that would be a great basis for a documentary to expose these jerks.
Don't give up Tracy, you will find help somewhere.

Tracy, I had bad experiences in the past too. One dr. told me I had Munchausings syndrome (I don't know if that is how you spell it) - when you pretend you are sick but are not. I know that you cannot tolerate any supplements - neither can I. I don't trust many drs. as a result of my bad experience but over time did find a couple that have been great. I was diagnosed not just with mercury, but with multiple chemical sensitivities, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia and found a good environmental medicine dr.to work with. He is also very much in the middle - not way out there when it comes to alternative medicine. And since then I did find a regular dr. who believes me - and while she hasn't had answers, she is willing to think outside of the box and manage my case. You will find someone - just don't go back to the practice that just treated you like that. What you have is real.

It's inexcusble what they are doing, but it seems so many who are in control or at the top, are sadly the ones who don't seem to care much these days.
The reason we are on the internet is because most of us have exhausted ourselves trying to find answers in everyday life and obviously not gotten too far. The internet was the way I found out about mercury and I began to heal from it and experience more joy at one point, yes everything went wrong from other things done to me, but it goes to show the promise I had at that time was healing and all that from the internet.
Also, it's a way to get in touch with others and lessen the feeling of isolation. I don't think anybody has the perfect answers, we can only share and ask questions and look things up on this vast encyclopedia, be it factual or not, we are quite capable of making our own minds up and trying something if it makes sense.
They treat us like we're a bunch of moronic hypocondriacs. Until of course, it hits one of them

Yep and the other thing they don't tell you is that they don't like going against previous doctor's diagnoses.
Meaning - if ONE doctor writes in your notes that you're a madman, the NEXT doctor may think you've got a genuine medical complaint UNTIL they read your notes and decide your a madman too. And so it goes on no matter how many times you change your GP. I was lucky.
The only piece of advice I can give (if I can indeed give advice as I don't pretend to be an expert on this) is to write a detailed letter giving medical FACTUAL information debating and proving your case to your doctor. They're legally not entitled to bin your letter so they have to keep it on record. This means they can't write in their notes that you were a rambling madman when you talked to them about your "fake illness".
DON'T write that you found your information on the internet. It gets dismissed so easily that way. Find your info on the internet by all means - then buy hard copies of medical reports direct from whichever accepted research institute was named as providing the info and any books (like the ones on sale on herballure here) and cite them as being your source of information. Books are classed much higher than internet 'babble' and I got a much better response. In fact I'm having surgery, physiotherapy and seeing a chelation expert this week because of my letter.
In my case as it is now I have one GP at my practise that believes me - the other one is still trying to say I'm mental so I avoid him like he is plauge personified. I can't afford him writing that I wasted an appointment whinging about fake illnesses in my notes in case it reflects on me further. He's a huge danger to me because he doesn't believe mercury poisoning exists. My good GP DOES and I cited actual cases of mercury poisoning throughout the ages as proof it exists and therefore lower level toxicity had to exist too. He was nodding the whole time as he read my letter in front of me.
Okay enough said hope that helps. It worked for me and I hope it does for you. I know I can't advise you really but it worked for me.

Hi Tracy. I am sure there are caringdoctors out there, just as there are caring dentists, but that they are in the minority - just like about any genuine person anywhere these days. I really don't think that, at this point in time, help can be got on the NHS. There are private doctors out there who deal with heavy metal toxicity, but of course private means we have to pay for it, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who can't afford it.
Most people don't believe me when I say I have mercury poisoning. I have quit getting upset about it, just get on with "looking after myself" as everyone seems to be doing while at the same time trying to spread the message. If you say "I believe I have mercury poisoning" adn then give reasonable arguments for that, rather than something like "dentists are poisoning everyone" and so forth, then you can spread the word without risk of being sued for defaming dentists.

Hello all,
So this is how the so called medical world works. No one is there to treat you without making money off of you. There are many doctors who are bought and sold by either the pharmaceutical companies or other departments out there. Or for that matter insurance companies. If you are not happy with your doctor find a new one. My suggestion is the more off the medical grid the better you might be. This means that they do not deal with insurance companies. A good suggestion is a natropathic physician might be a good option. They try to really figure out what is wrong with you and use alternative treatments to treat you. I guess this really depends on the area you live. The medical system here in America has a lot of issues. You have to learn how to work the system. I only go to my gp for prescription medication if I really need it as I find he has no problems giving me drugs. But for major issues I would not bother with him as he is not that great of a doctor.
Just my 2 cents.
