I read the following on a site that is selling something or other containing algin (extracted from kelp). They claim that "algin is helpful in eliminating intestinal toxins and heavy metals. [I agree.]
Then they go on to say, "It is rich in B-complex vitamins in addition to vitamins A & E. It also contains anti-hemorrhage Vitamin K." I find this hard to believe. "Rich" in B-vitamins? Does anyone know for sure? Tks.

Kelp does contain a lot of nutrients, including B-vitamins and vitamin K (exactly how much, I don't know for sure). However, Algin is only 1 component extracted from kelp. In technical terms, algin is a polysaccharide. I don't believe algin contains any other nutrients because it is, itself, an extracted nutrient. Now, if this product includes other parts of the kelp plant along with the algin, then yes, there's a possibility that the product would then contains B-vitamins, etc. If anyone has any differing information on algin, I would be very interested in it. I hope this helps,
