Tracy,
Sorry, I'm not sure. My doctor just started treating me for that and thyroid based on symptoms - I have ALL of them. So maybe you can check out a symptom questionnaire for now...?

Tracey a serum cortisol test you can get from your GP is useless, and will almost certainly show you in the normal range, unless you are practically dead. A saliva test is more accurate, and will show your cortisol readings throughout the day. You can do this with these labs: http://www.iwdl.net/adrenal%20stress.htmYou could try and get a referral from your GP to an endocrinologist, who may do the standard ACTH stim test, but this would take a long time. I think your best bet is to get an appointment with Durrant-Peatfield, and get on some glandulars in the meantime. He likes these from NutriWest http://nutriwest-uk.com/catalogue_content.php?active_page=0I took the Adreno- Lyph Plus and it got me out of bed at Christmas time. I am now on Prednisolone, one of the strongest steroids, but I have 3 young children to get up and out to school every day. I simply cannot not function. hope this helps Nicola
