Can swollen glands be caused by mercury poisoning?
About 3 weeks ago, I came down with something - fever of 101 degrees, chills, headache, tired, weak, congestion, ear ache, sore throat, etc. After taking lots of vitamin c & some natural cough drops, I started to feel better. But I couldn't get rid of congestion & sore throat on my right side. Yesterday, I noticed that my gland was swollen. Today it seems somewhat worse.
I have an appointment with a new family doctor next week but don't want to take the poison that he will probably prescribe.
Is there anything I can do?
Thanks!!!

Could be glandular fever, mercury toxicity is a prime cause of glandular fever. And it's hard to get rid of viruses etc when you have mercury toxcity. The body tends to hold onto them.
Or you could have a bad viral infection, as there has been a very bad flu virus going around, not the normal type of flu and is affecting people severely and hanging onto them for weeks on end.
Not sure what you can do, other than rest and do not attempt exercise. Eat a candida diet (I had a viral infection a hwile back and everytime I ate any sugar, or other stuff like wheat etc, I would worsen significantly and my flu virus would worsen and flare up and eventually I got a bacterial infection).
So diet was essential and I should have stuck to it and not cheated. Because of my eating bits here and there, I ended up not being able to throw it off (yet I was gradually improving when I first stuck to the diet). Finally I had to take antibiotics and now I relaly AM ILL. Though I needed them to kick the infection, it's annihilated me and I'm suffering badly with yeast worse than ever.
So i'm on the diet again and trying to get strict. Other than this, I'd take a lot of vitamin C, vitamin B complex, zinc, magnesium etc. And have lemon drinks. But do definitely try and avoid sugar in all forms, yeasts and gluten grains. I cannot even have fruit or milk, or potatoes with this candida. That's how bad it can get.
I repeat the candida diet advice, because quite frankly, I think that all of us who are unwell, toxic or whatever, rely totally on diet as the foundation of everything. If that isn't put right, it is unlikely that the body will respond to much, cope or heal at all.

I too, had swollen neck glands for several months as a kid. They eventually figured it was Hodgkin's, but before the dr. could get back from his month-long vacation to do a biopsy (he left just before the test was ordered), the glands finally started to shrink. I never found out what it was. Now, thanks to this forum, maybe I know.
