I switched from "Whole Thyroid" (a T3/T4 mix which is NZ's equivalent to Armour I believe) to Thyroxine and then had to switch back again as the T3/T4 mix was way more helpful!

Thanks, yeh, im a member of that group now, thanks for the website, nicola. I have switched because i couldnt wait for my appt in a few weeks, it takes too long, blood tests mean nothing now to me, only symptoms and if my endo wont prescribe it, il just buy it myself. I started as sheila Turner says, a quarter in the morning, the same at 3 oclock, for 7 days, then gradually increase until you feel its right.

I have just switched from Levoxyl to Armour. My naturopath started me out at a slightly lower dose because she was afraid of heart problems. I needed a higher dose, so, I am still slow. I haven't noticed much difference yet, but, again, I probably need a higher dose.
