Today someone gave me a sample of something called Chocolate Nibs - these are irregular-shaped little pieces that come from the center of the cacao bean, I think, and they have no dairy or sweetener of any kind. Yet, I enjoyed the bitter taste. Has anyone here tried these?

I had these before. I really like the powdered version better. I use it in smoothies and any other non-cooked food/drink that I want to tastes like chocolate. The raw version has tons more antioxidants then the processed chocolate powder you can buy. I get mine from Natures First Law. I got one of their books for Christmas last year called, Naked Chocolate. That is how I found out about it. They also sell it at a healthfood store by me. chigirl

The best chocolate I've ever had are Rapunzel Bars. They are amazing and when I had my amalgams still in, they did not give me the sugar issues that other types of chocolate did.
They are not available in many areas and may have to ordered online, but man are they good.
