Tracy, when I first broke one of my silver fillings, I got weird tingling in my head- a bit like pins and needles without the numbness which would come and go - and very bad headaches often with very sharp shooting pains in my head. I thought this might have been caused by an ear infection and labrynitis that I had had just before I got the tingling. It was a while later before I connected the tingling with my broken filling, I decided that the mercury must have leaked out and that was causing the tingling . I then got out all my silver fillings (apart from one under a crown). The tingling went away, for ages, but it has came back this last month. I got my fillings out without any of the proper precautions, so I obviously had lots of mercury in my system. I am not sure what the tingling is, or if I should be worried about it or not I am hoping it will go away again and that it is the mercury coming out rather than going in!! I always have had headaches - bad ones at that, all my days (I'm in my thirties) but now I rarely get one - so that at least has improved. I am not sure what can be done to prevent or stop the tingling other than letting time take its course, but a while ago I did take Omega 3 and 6 supplements and that seemed to help it a bit, although this was maybe a coincidence. Although the tingling has come back this last month it is not nearly so bad so I am hoping it will eventually dissapear.
Hope you feel better soon.

Lizbet, how is your bite? My dentist says that my poor jaw alignment is more likely responsible for some of the pains I get in my neck and lower head from time to time. When the alignment isn't right, it puts a strain on the muscles etc. I had treatment for this while I was growing up, but they couldn't correct the problem completely because I was a bad case. I dont know if it would cause the tingling, but a bad bite might cause stress to the head.

Hi demi, I think my bite is ok I mentioned my headaches to my dentist several years ago, when my headaches were really bad and she didn't seem to think there was a problem with my bite. However, having said that I do think that I clench/grind my teeth when I sleep cos I used to wake up with a bad head and sore jaw.
I think the tingling is connected to the mercury cos it all started up when I broke a big silver filling, then it dissapeard for a few months then after I got my silver fillings out about 3 months later it came back - weird!! This has all started up since my silver filling broke, maybe its all a coincidence, the only other thing that I thought might of caused it was, as I have said, a bad ear infection which led to me having labrynitis I was very dizzy when I had this, and thought the tingling might have been related to that. Although I still think its more to do with mercury than anything else. My head is still tingling now and again, and I seem to be having a problem with my blood sugar just now I think I must be hypoglycemic cos I have had a few shaky moments lately again I never had this before I had my fillings out.
Anyway thanks for your reply

I've had labyrinthitis aswell, and think it was mercury related. I clench/grind my teeth in the night and I woke up very dizzy a couple of time, and I think it was because of the mercury. I've also had tingling in the scalp. I just wasn't sure if it was mercury or my bad bite. But I do think that mercury can cause them aswell.
