I have been following the bread crumb trail to discover the causes of issues that the doctors never seem to be able to diagnose, and the trail led from celiac to yeast to mercury.

I have seen a mention or two of redness in the face with mercury. Ten years or so ago, as I was experiencing a myriad of symptoms, I started getting redness in the face. It is not rosacea. It is often mistaken by others as a sunburn over my nose and cheeks (no, not lupus butterfly rash...been there and done that, too!). Anyway, it is not always present, but seems to appear in direct correlation with my state of exhaustion. The more tired I am, the redder it gets.

Is this like the redness caused by mercury? Has anyone else had this? I have not found anyone else with this condition and never found an explanation for it.

Thanks so much for any input!

My son, who I feel has mercury issues, gets red in the face - kind of a blotchy red. I am not sure it is fatigue that does it. It is not blushing because it is not during an embarassing moment or anything like that, and also, he does not experience heat with it - he doesn't even realize that he has turned red. He also gets red hands - on the back of his hands, not the palms. But I don't know any more than you as to its cause. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Hi,

Yes, on my nose and around it on both sides and also in the middle of my forehead. Additionally a red spot on my neck an inch above my thiroid gland. No question, it is caused by mercury.

Thanks for the responses. I don't experience any heat with my redness, either - it just shows up. My first notice of it is when others comment or I catch a glimpse of myself in a mirror.

I'm glad to hear that I may finally have an answer for what causes this, and better yet, it can be fixed!! Of course, this is not the only symptom I have...there are a myriad of others.

just a sugestion, but may be caused by a histamine reaction. I get the redness you talk about too, with or without heat, on my hands and feet, and on different parts of my body sometimes. I first thought it was rosacea also but now am certain its histamine, or histadelia, after research on the internet and after consulting my naturopath. Look it up! the best thing you can do is avoud certain foods for a while, ones containing high histamine, and make sure your taking good quality zinc and magnesium. These are the things I've been doing and have been fairly successful.

No, I hadn't looked at it. After reading your post, I pulled up some info online and I don't think it is pink disease. Other than the redness, I don't have the other symptoms. I do still believe the redness may be mercury-related, though.

Hi Jason,

It is a good clue. This redness always disappeared when I got some steroids, but I don’t want to get used to them. Sun also helps to get rid of the redness.

I have read that rosacea is a symptom of candida or yeast, and that is a symptom of mercury toxicity....our bodies produce candida or yeast as a buffer against mercury.

It all comes back to the mercury!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

There are some clues that this may be related to H. Pylori.

Here is some info:

I had colonoscopy a month ago and the doctor said he did not see anything abnormal. Do you think candida could have been there without to be detected?

If you watch the presentation of the smoking teeth following this link, http://www.iaomt.org/ you can see a mercury poisoned sheep. See its contaminated stomach and think about how much mercury in our stomach tissue can be. Therefore I am not sure if it is a good practice that we swallow capsules of Algin. It probably passes our stomach without helping to collect mercury in it. Is it not a better idea taking Algin without capsules?

Hi Steve,

I actually tried opening the Algin capsule and swallowing the powder, thinking that it would get into my system faster. Wow...big mistake!

The minute I took a sip of water to get it down, the Algin turned into this thick gel that I couldn't even swallow. Actually, some of the gel had started to go down my throat and I thought I was going to choke. There was nothing I could do to get this stuff out of my mouth. I couldn't spit it out because it clung to the insides and the roof of my mouth like glue. It must sound very funny, but at the time, it was quite horrible. I tried using a toothbrush to get it out, but had to resort to scraping it off the roof of my mouth.

I wish I would have had my video camera running. I'm sure I was a complete spectacle! I could have won one of those funniest video contests on TV for certain. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Needless to say, I'll be leaving the Algin in its capsules from now on!

I suppose you could try mixing a little Algin into juice or applesauce, etc., but I'm not sure how much you'd be able to get down this way. Algin is unbelievably "gel"-forming.

Plus, based on my own experiments, I absolutely know the Algin is absorbing mercury for me. I've eaten salmon both with and without taking Algin first, and I can definitely tell a HUGE difference.

Let me know if you try the Algin "sans" capsule.

Dear Laura!

First of all thank you very much for your effort to send me Algin into Europe despite the web card verification difficulties.

I have no doubt about the useful attributes of Algin. I. e. collecting mercury from the bile, the small intestine and the colon.

I just saw that mercury contaminated stomach and thought why not try collecting mercury even from the tissue of the stomach. And in order to accomplish this mission the capsule has to be opened a bit earlier.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I’m not gonna repeat the same mistake. Drinking some gel with lots of water however is probably not a difficult task. I’ll try it.

I get this sometimes during my Periods--- when my hormones fluctulate, causing cortisone inbalance- and blood sugar mess=ups.
Candidas flares up and I crave refined starches, which then causes a sort of "rosecea" on my face if I eat them.

I think this is actually yeast coming out of the skin. What puts a stop to it is rubbing a sliced clove of garlic all over the inflamed red area.

It burns at first, but then seconds later, the redness and inflamation, and itch stop.

Calendula sprayed on the skin also helps but the raw garlic is really effective for me.

Is this caused by mercury still in the body-- probably, because it used to be much worse when I had my fillings in. It was so bad that I missed work many times because of my eyelids red, inflamed and swollen shut-- and cheeks all puffed out .

It happens now only occasionally and nowhere near the extent it used to .

Colon cleanses tend to stop it in it's track-- which is why i am doing a 7 day colon cleanse each month --right after my Menstruation period-- as well as a parasite cleanse (which also controls candidas)

When I realised my mercury toxicity I called my brother on the phone informing him, that I new the reason of his redness in his face and around his scalp. He had one single amalgam filling implanted forty years ago. He did not believe me first that such an old filling might have any significance at all, but he let it removed. He called me a few days later telling me that the redness in his face disappeared. Not simply eased, but disappeared.

What about redness in the face after alcohol or black pepper consumption?

The red flush might be caused by niacin.

http://cholesterol.emedtv.com/niacin/niacin-flush.html

If you take niacin in the form of niacinamide, it won't cause this problem.

Half a year ago I decided to do a somewhat homemade mercury provocation test(big mistake), aka I drank two tablespoons of chopped koriander with a glass of water in the evening and took a heavy metal urine test the following day.

Now, already half an hour after having drunken this nearly lethal coctail my face began turning all red, especially in the cheek area, my eyes became bloodbroken and itchy to a point where my subconscious mind just wanted to spoon them out. I was very miserable for a week after.

Next day the urine test showed a highly elevated mercury level, aswell as a medium cadmium one. So yes I definitivly think redness in the face can be related to mercury floating around in your system, or hugging your cells to death.

I'd taken chlorella a few weeks prior, but no algin. Im quite sure it wasent the chlorella (alone) that caused the crash though, since the *only* effects I got from this was extreme hyperactivity, nervousness, stormach pains and insomnia. I suspect that the koriander mobilized oceans of more mercury than the chlorella did, though Im not really sure if its "suposed" to smile

As far as I know, you should take a mega dose of Chlorella while using koriander, because of the increased amount of mercury in the bile liquid. Allegedly a high dose of chlorella can take out more mercury than it mobilises. On the other hand a small doze of Chlorella mobilises more mercury than it is able to carry out. That is why I am considering Algin with koriander.

Hmm... Id never tried algin, so Im cant tell how well it can absorb unbound mercury by personal experience. Koriander releases alot of mercury in the brain(It certainly also feels that way), Im unsure as wheiter the algin would be able to sponge up mercury from there, or would only work in the digestive trait.

If you're going to try this yourself, I would definitivly advise you to start out with a lower dose of koriander than I did, and be cautious with the re-poisoning symptoms. The high mercury level measured in my urine test was unbound, so its not ideal, I took 2g of chlorella with it. took around 1-3g chlorella per day, the the weeks withinn my homemade mess chelation. I supose the effects of koriander also have something to do with how poisoned you are/how much you chelated out already/time since the last filling was removed/genetic make-up, ect...

Whatever you do just promise to be careful smile

First I will have the last piece of metal removed from my mouth (a metal bridge). I will let its surroundings calm down for a while. Then I’ll start with a small dose of coriander combined with Algin. Algin only carries out the metals found in the intestines but I hope, my immune system will transport the coriander mobilized mercury there via my liver.

The other option is that I also take Chlorella three times as much as you did, and also Sodium to help move mercury between connective tissue and lymphatic system.

I am a bit afraid of loading kidneys with mercury. Their tissues are much less regenerative than intestinal tract.

It works in the digestive tract only. In fact, it does not enter the blood stream.

This is why it is mandatory (in my opinion) for any liver/colon-based detox plan. We don't want mercury to be reabsorbed, and Algin can help solve that problem amazingly well.

Hello Steve!

As far as I gathered coriander excretes mercury both via the kidneys and the liver, so while you should definitivly continue algin, you might also want to start up on some kidney remedy.

I've heard alot of good stuff about dandelion, and plan to be taking it as a suppliment when starting on dmsa (and later ala) Its important to drink alot of water with the dandelion though, as its a major liquid drainer. Personally think I will be using it maybe a week per month.
