I am literally at the point of breaking at the moment. There is this certain symptom that has plagued me over the years, ruining the way in which i interact with people. The problem is, i have no idea what it is! I know this sounds crazy, and it is! But hear me out.. I have always struggled with social anxieties leading to depression, so I've never really been comfortable in social situations, but lately I have been getting a lot better, and have actually found that I am a social person and people do want to be around me. I guess throughout my 20 years of life I had never really noticed the way people respond to me because I was too focused on my own anxiety.
So lately I have been going to parties, going out, going to work or any other social situations, even at home with my family, and have noticed something very disturbing, and its actually literally making me crazy. I have noticed that the way I feel inside, the anxieties and depression, never really affect the way I look to other people, and i could be really anxious in a situation but people still want to be around me and talk to me. The really weird thing is that it goes the other way around aswell, I can feel calm but must look very anxoius or angry or something because no one wants anything to do with me! For example, I was at a party the other night and when I first got there I was very anxious but I fit in very well, and every one wanted to talk and be around me, however as the night progressively went on I began to notice that slowly people didn't want anything to do with me and i found myself being ignored and basically keeping to myself..
I know all this sounds very weird but its probably my greatest problem at the moment. I told my mum and dad about it but they said not to worry about it and that mayb I should see a shrink. Mayb i should but i don't really think they can help me much. I am very suspicious that the cold weather is causing this as in the summer i have less problems with it, and I'm even more suspicious that the cold weather affects the nerves in my face making me look tense or something, particularly my eyes.
I'd really appreciate anyones comments on this!

I have some strange thing going on with my eyes that I am sure affects how people interact with me. Since I have had mercury toxicity (many years and I still have the amalgam in) my eyes have never looked the same. The white is slightly yellowish and very glassy looking. My brown eyes now have a greenish glassy look.
The only thing that changes the appearance of my eyes dramatically is two thngs. Once or twice a year I do a 4 day juice fast at a yoga retreat and everytime I finish one of these fasts my eyes nearly look normal again. They don't look glassy at all and nearly have all the sparkle like they use to.
The other thing is eye drops (specifically formulated to clear the eyes). I use this stuff for special occasions like job interviews, parties or if I have to go somewhere and feel really down about my appearance. When I use these eye drops it is so amazing how different people are towards me. They seem friendlier for some strange reason. My eyes certainly look healthier with the drops. Maybe we are subconciously programmed to respond better to healthier looking people. Who knows.
I will be really interested to see what happens to my eyes after amalgam removal. When I feel really toxic I find it is my eyes that show it more than anything. Sometimes I really wish that I had blue eyes. Blue eyes just don't seem to look so toxic for some reason.

Perhaps because you are feeling so very social recently - you just had too much enthuiasm and came across to strong. Always ask people about themselves and be a good listener. Be an active question asker and listener, and less of a talker. Maybe you just need more practice with this new experience.

I have something similar, when im feeling okay, people dont really want to talk to me, if im feeling mercury symptoms, i seem to attract people and they talk to me more, it may be because i dont get too excited whilst talking, i dont know. I t happened yesterday at a family gathering. It might be that im too sensitive, and i notice things alot, i dont know. I hate socialising anyway, it brings me down because i keep analyzing things the day after. Regarding eyes, mine change like the weather, they can be healthy and sparkly or dull and ill looking, also i have one pupil bigger than the other which was bought on by taking antidepressants at the beginning of this year.
