Has anyone heard or experienced any connection to snoring and mercury poisoning? My husband sleep apnea (he won't amit it though) and snores. It seems that the CPAP thing has become one of the latest "needs" for people these days.

A CPAP machine consists of a mask that is held over your nose and sometimes nose and mouth while you sleep. The machine forces air into your airways to keep them open to eliminate instances of apnea. Apnea is where someone quits breathing for a period of time because of the airway being blocked. I have used one for 2 years now. I am mercury poisoned and had my amalgams removed about 2 months ago. I have just began the detox process. I am hoping that after detoxing I will be able to get away from the CPAP machine. I hope this helps.

I haven't yet read any studies directly linking mercury and sleep apnea, but, mercury is linked to asthma and allergies and also various neurological problems, so there may be a connection. If anyone has any specific information, I'd be very interested.
In the meantime, you could try taking lots of Vitamin C, Vitamin E with Selenium, and Algin (the "big 3" for mercury toxicity). Magnesium deficiency is also linked with various respiratory problems, as well as some sleep disturbances.
If I do come across any other information, I'll be sure to post it.
