I wish there were an organized archive of peoples' mercury amalgam testimonials as follows:

[color:"blue"]Year of Birth: _ _ _ _
[color:"blue"]Year Mercury Removed: _ _ _ _
[color:"blue"]Estimated # of years mercury in mouth/body: _ _
[color:"blue"]Number of amalgam fillings/surfaces: __ / __
[color:"blue"]Symptoms/conditions before mercury removal: (i.e., fibromyalgia, involuntary saliva, fatigue, multiple sclerosis, autism (or borderline), inflammations, metallic taste, creaky stiff joints, ...)
[color:"blue"]Symptoms/conditions cured by mercury removal: (i.e., fatigue, metallic taste, unsure/other...)
[color:"blue"]How do you rate your dentist: (Excellent, Good, Fair, Poor, unsure/other
[color:"blue"]Your dentist provided: (urine DMPS, rubber protector, homeopathy, reverse method, electrodermal, electroacupuncture, QXCI, serum compatibility testing - a.k.a. biocompatibility, goggles, nose mask, air purifier, oxygen blast...)
[color:"blue"]Therapies you used in conjunction or aftermath: (oral calcium EDTA, oral DMSA, oral DMPS, IV chelation, massage, colonics, Captomer, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Field Control Therapy, Neuromodulation Technique...
[color:"blue"]Aftermath - at least xx months later: (100% cured, 75-100% better, 50-75% better, 25-50% better, only a bit better, no change, worse, much worse, worse BUT then cured by naturopath, unsure/other...)
[color:"blue"]Reasons removal may not have helped me: (Didn't use chelation, didn't use massage, didn't use colonics, didn't use Captomer, didn't use Vitamins E & C, didn't use biocompatibility testing or QXCI or field control therapy or kineseologist to test for compatibility of replacement materials, unsure/other.....

I am beginning to take testimonials and publish them on the Internet. So far I have 2 people participating. If I can get a decent number of participants, I will keep more detailed information much like you've suggested above.
Thanks for your input.

Maybe the hosts of dmpsbackfire, toxicteeth & consumers for dental choice, etc. can help? Also, the chelation & mercury yahoo groups? Also this amalgam group: http://www.listserv.dfn.de/cgi-bin/wa.exe?A0=amalgamAlso, it would be a plus, if the archive were searchable by keyword within each [color:"blue"] field and also, if people were enabled to enter their own user-defined [color:"orange"]symptoms, for example "fatigue" and/or "TMJ" and/or "creaky joints" , [color:"red"]and dental-methods or followup-therapies such as electrothingamagig & garlicamagig respectively which, upon clicking [color:"blue"] [ADD-YOUR-OWN=>] would jump from a user-entry box to a box on the right, among all the other choices that were chosen from a drop-down menu on the left. Then, anyone researching amalgam removal, would be enabled to search by: # of amalgams [color:"blue"]field # of years people had amalgams till removal [color:"blue"]field [color:"orange"]symptoms (standard AND user-defined) [color:"blue"]field [color:"red"]dental-methods (standard AND user-defined) [color:"blue"]field etc. etc.

Hmmm...
Sounds like a good idea but certainly quite a programming project.
For now, I'm allowing people to post their stories on our forum which, at least, will provide a stepping stone to bigger, better things.
Thanks for the suggestions.

Russ I was scrolling thru the forum and came across this post It was one of the original thoughts from "Maiden"
Would this be any easier to do now? There seem to be so many more people on the net now plus there have been more mainstream news articles. Who knows how many of us mercury-poisoned are in America but there is power in numbers. Somehow we have to get this considered a mainstrem disease just like MS or Lyme's.Then the financial burden would fall on insurance or government medical plans rather than out of our own pockets. Al

Maiden Welcome back. I finished my amalgam removal 2 years ago. Like yourself i am still agressively detoxing. It is a good idea that you have put together an online review of what you have been taking. I am putting together a story of my mercury history and symptomology that I am forwarding to Russ as I do each page. He is going to add it to the mercury wiki when he has time. It is amazing how many of my almost life-long conditions are improving- particularly my arthritis.
I had noticed this post of yours from 2003 where you suggest someone putting together a list of all of us mercury sufferers. I think it would be a great idea. Did you ever follow this up. Did you get any positive response from this or any other forum. Please let us know if you have any thoughts. I firmly believe that the larger the number of us who step forward then the closer we get to getting acknowledged as a recognized disease that our medical system must treat- and that means that insurance must cover.
thanks Al

I'd be willing to send in my info/story. I think everyone on here should. Where do we send it? If someone makes a website with a form to enter the info into let me know. When you have enough stories you should work on getting them published in every paper, magazine, etc.. in the country. It seems the ADA has control over the media and get its bogus

bogus studies published saying that amalgams pose no threat. I've read those articles and the study was so flawed it was ridiculus. If people read hundred of stories by ordinary people with no vested financial interest one way or the other than they will believe them.

Alcan,
Yes, this could be done now. We could even do it electronically and collect the information in an automated way that would require little effort (once the system is built) from anyone.

I thought this would be a great idea. Surely the way the internet is now it should be a lot easier to do than when MAIDEN first suggested the survey. Does anyone have any ideas on how to go about it?

It's a good idea and it certainly could be done. I only wish I had time. The only problem is that it would take about a week's worth of web programming and layout.

bumping this up, I think this is a great idea...to get a directory of how many people have been helped by amalgam removal would be a great way to convince the non believers.
anyone have any ideas.
