hi everyone,
am getting worried.......am having my amalgams replaced next month. Do all dentists use the special mercury vapour machine to make sure that there is no mercury vapour left in the teeth whent he filling has been taken out. ? The dentist I am gogin to said he gives patients 2 charcoal tablets to take just beforehand, and uses a dam, air suction, mose and eye masks. He did not mention that he checks for vapour left behind.

hi again,
I am seeing someone called Adam Sapera in London. He was recommended to me by a GP who practises holistic, integrated medicine. I hope he is good. He was very nice at the first visit and made me feel very comfortable.

Your concern is misplaced. Many anti-amalgam dentists leave small particles of mercury in teeth. Have your teeth x-rayed after the fillings are removed before new ones are placed.
