Dr. Hal Huggins, in his book It's All In Your Head, talks specifically and boldly about the coverup concerning mercury-based fillings. In fact, according to him, there have been two previous instances where mercury was outlawed from dental fillings in the United States. The current battle for the removal of amalgam in dentistry he calls "amalgam war three".

Great article. Thanks. I have read of doctors in the 1800's protesting against mercury fillings - I like how they called them mercurial fillings back then, as that is far more honest than "amalgam".

I honestly can't believe dentists still use them and I think people of the future will look back in disbelief that in this 21st century they are still being used.

In speaking to someone on the phone a few weeks ago about their mercury issues, they said they were in Brazil and the dentist said the same thing to him:

"I can't beleve they still use amalgam in the United States."

Sad to say, from what I've heard and read, the USA is the most backward of all first world countries on health matters. The UK, however, isn't a lot better as we have a government controlled national health service - I do support the NHS, but agree with Prince Charles that there should be choice on the NHS (he is a big supporter of alternative health) and it shouldn't be controlled by the government.

And Canada is right up there too, we are so far behind, we think we are in first place. lol

Seriously though, the dentists should be ashamed, the facts are there, and it is plastered all over the internet now, how can they keep denying it? If we know, how can they not?
