I never had amalgams, but am getting pretty convinced that my brain symptoms are due to mercury. I once tried to explain my symptoms to a doctor....
- Losing the context of things as soon as I get down to the specifics. Like, when talking to someone, I just make it up as I go. Or if I am trying really hard, the best I can do is keep pondering .... "What manner of person is this?" and "Is what I just said true?" and "What should I say next??" and "Why was I talking to this person?". And, I will forget the motivation as soon as I begin a task, but I just keep working assuming it was a good idea. I think this is all "short term memory problems".
- For some reason my mind feels better after the sympathtic nervous system is shocked a bit. Like after riding a roller coaster, or after swimming in a cold pool and then being in the hot sun.
- For some reason my mind feels *worse* after taking an NMDA antagonist (e.g. dextromethorphan (cough medicine), or tylenol to a lesser degree), and somehow rebounds to be *better* when it wears off a day or two later.
The doctor gave a blank look and prescribed Adderall. That helped, but overall felt unhealthy so I stopped. More recently I am being treated at Dr. Buttar's clinic. So far I have had 20 EDTA IV's and 8 DMPS. It is really up and down, I can tell a lot is being stirred up. But for short periods of time I do feel great, on an amazingly deep level, not only in my mind but overall. Recently I tried the LL clay bath, and I know it works because I react way as I do to the IV's (feeling a little better at first, then terrible for a few days, then a lot better). Before going to Dr. Buttar's I had done the Cutler protocol on my own for a few months, with some results. The DMPS seems a lot more poweful. I also appreciate that the clinic is very thorough. The do blood tests every month, genetic testing, put me on a supplement protocol, helped to correct a thyroid problem, etc.

Same thing for me. Except I feel good for about two days, then down and out for 5 days, then good again for a couple days.
