How little it seems we know. A year ago I'd never heard of Reverend Richard Wurmbrand; his name meant nothing. ...to me.

Wurmbrand served our Lord in Romania, as the Communists took over, establishing a false "State church", and persecuting Christians in ways we prefer to think nobody would ever attempt.

The testimony Reverand Wurmbrand gave before the U.S. Senate is available at several sites. Here are three links:

So scarred was Reverand Wurmbrand during the years of torture, that on more than one occasion he has silenced crowds of dedicated enemies of God and America merely by removing his shirt.

Having seen Communism face-to-face, having dealt with it more than anyone could imagine, one of Wurmbrand's projects was to research its roots and disclose his findings. Last winter, I purchased two of his books, and only days ago I had the pleasure to discover at least one of them is available online. It's right there on the webpage - no special download required.

I'll not be copying and pasting. It takes time, but follow the links and read for yourself. Surely you can manage. (I didn't say "in one sitting," mind you.)
