We have violated the laws of our Creator and our most Holy God like sheep we have all gone astray!
Deuteronomy 30:15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil..
He wants us to choose the life and good! He gave us a way to Him through His gift to us of grace by the way of the cross.
Or we can choose the death and the evil! God gave us free will we can choose freely to love Him or not to love Him. Life is a gift but eternal life with God is a blessing! A blessing that is His alone to give to us!
A blessing that is His alone to give to us! We can choose but only He alone can give!
No man takes it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father. John 10:18
Only God can give or take life! Only God can give us the gift of life! The only choice we have is to except His gift or reject His Gift. He has made His offer to us known.
As the God of Creation He is allowed to set the Standards for that Creation. It is His Holy right!
But if your heart turn away, so that you will not hear.. Deuteronomy 30:17
It is our choice and God's choice too! Like Israel when they went astray yet God brought them back. God said I will never leave you, nor forsake you. Hebrews 13:5
But the choice is still up to us to follow Him or not. Love Him or not. He said come follow Me.
And he said to them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. Matthew 4:19
And Jesus said to them, Come you after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men. Mark 1:17
As His children He wants us to follow Him. But He wants us to choose freely to follow Him because as a God of Love without "free choice to do so".. It's not truely love at all. He gave us the gift of Creation life and He gave us the gift of choosing to be with Him or not.
He gave us the gift of Creation of life and He gave us the gift of choosing to be with Him or not. He wants our heart. He will except nothing less!
And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart Jeremiah 29:13
There will be no one in Heaven that doesn't Love Him! There will be no one in Heaven who does not want to be with Him! He gave freely and He wants us to except His gift. By choice and by our choice, only. Will we except that Gift of Life?
Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends John 15:13
He layed down His life for us! He died so we may live!
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23
WHOA! You're really on a roll here, my friend. Of course you know these questions, answers, statements, verses, etc, etc, are all answered in the previous Posts "The Message of the Cross", "We Must Choose", "What does born again mean?" etc. Perhaps you see a need to start afresh?
In reading all of the above posts, I did not see the answer to "WHY"? WHY did Jesus have to die? WHY can't we just say we are sorry and forget it?
Because, "Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin." (Hebrews 9:22b). This is a VERY DEEP subject. To save a lot of questions, time, etc, I would ask the readers to read some of the previous posts.
So since you've started a new one, I'll simply add a devotional from ODB. How's that? ---- -GETTING TO HEAVEN
Romans 3:21-28 --- Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved. --Acts 16:31 -- While working with third-and fourth-graders at our church's Vacation Bible School, I decided to give all 25 of the children a gift on the last day. But I told them that in order to receive it, they would each have to tell me how a person can get to heaven.
It was interesting to hear what these 9- and 10-year-olds said. Many were clear that salvation is through faith in Jesus Christ, but some were not yet equipped to explain the gospel. "You have to be good and go to Sunday school," said one. Another asked tentatively, "You have to pray to God?" Still another: "If you are nice to your friends and obey your mom and dad."
As I gently tried to direct the thinking of each child to the central element of salvation--faith in Jesus who died to pay for our sins and then rose again--I thought that these kids represented so many others in our world who don't yet understand the Gospel [Bible].
How about you? Are your ideas about salvation based on biblical truth? Think about the importance of what Jesus did for you. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ" (Acts 16:31). There is so much more at stake than getting a free gift for answering a question. --- -A Matter Of Faith ~ Jesus paid the penalty for your sins by His death. When you admit you are a sinnner and place your faith in Him alone for forgivenesss, you will be reconciled to God.~~ "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." "For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Rom. 10: 9-10) ---- -Believing Christ died--that's history; believing Christ died for ME--that's salvation. --ODB/DB
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." [John 14:6]
Thank You My Friend For Sharing! Yes, you may have covered this topic before but this one is more based on the questions of: What kind of a God is He about His heart and His charactor and how He care's about the thoughts and the heart of His people. And His strange and unusual act..
For the LORD shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act. Isaiah 28:21
That even that is done out of love and not who He is but what He must do to save us from ourselves and our own destruction of His creation. It gives God no pleasure in having to destroy the wicked but because He has to do that so others can live without sickness, pain, death and destruction... Is not something He takes pleasure in doing but what He must do as a righteous King. And God knows this world needs one! So much injustice and hate in this world and leaders that are corrupt. People in general that are corrupted by this world what it offers them. And then there is the cosmic dilemma of the fallen angels and the satanic one He can't let them take over the world as well. And from all of that.. By the way of the cross we are born again! It's always a beautiful topic. It's a story of God's love for His Creation. You already know it!
Through The Exceptence Of His Love and Grace! We can gain a New Life! He that has the Son has life but he that does not have the Son does not have life. It's the basic message of Scripture that we can choose what we want our future to be because without God.. There is no future. He's our only hope for the future!
The Jews Are The Sign of God's Plan for Us! Through their Holy Scriptures the Messiah came & with Love He Came to us. No greater love then a Savior that gives! He gave up His own life so that we can live in Him.
Yes, you may have covered this topic before but this one is more based on the questions of: What kind of a God is He about His heart and His charactor and how He care's about the thoughts and the heart of His people. And His strange and unusual act..

What kind of God would laugh at sin? Do we think He giggles at adultery or snickers at murder? Do you think He looks the other way when we produce television talk shows based on perverse pleasures? Does He shake His head and say, "Humans will be humans"? Dare we say, "God won't get upset with me because I am His child. Besides, it would not be fair for Him to chasten me." Ah! But what about the verse, "Whom the Lord loves He chastens?" (Hebrews 12:6)
God does not take any of these things lightly. Mark it down and underline it in red. God is rightfully angry. God is a holy God. Our sins are an affront to His holiness. His eyes "cannot look on wickedness" (Habakkuk 1:13).
God is angry at the evil that ruins his children. The question is not, "How dare a loving God be angry?" but rather. "How could a loving God feel anything less?" ----- We need to realize, Lynn, that human thoughts are NOT God's thoughts. His ways are higher than our ways. If we truly got what we deserve, we would all be in hell. God cannot look upon sin. That is precisely why when our Sovereign One was hanging on that cross, God had to LOOK AWAY! He could NOT look at Jesus because on that cross Jesus was carrying the weight of every single SIN that we humans have and will commit.
God is Holy, Righteous, and Just. Just does not mean 'fair'. You are trying to mix human words with God's words. God does not act strange and unusual. He is HOLY! He is Creator and Maker of the entire universe. He is the Maker of all things visible and invisible. I sincerely think you need to start a different post with the Heading/Title something more on the order of, "The Attributes of God".......if you are trying to explain His character. Even though there already exists a Title/post with that very Title.
You seem to be vacillating/....you know, wavering in your mind as to what the topic is you want to discuss. I sincerely believe you are trying to discuss too many subjects at the same time, and you are getting confused. No offense.
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." [John 14:6]
Of course! Dare we say it would not be fair for Him to chasten me."
God is always fair He is a fair and a Just Judge by His standards not human standards. It is not unbibical to say He is a Just Fair Judge. And if we all got what we deserved we would all be thrown into hell. But Yeshua paid the penalty for sin which is death and as He died on the cross. But did He really pay it fully for us "if" the penalty for sin is burning billions and billions of years on the cross and not death so... Either he paid it in "full" for us or it is not fully paid. So which is it?

The threads I post do have points to them not all subjects have been totally covered and even if so... the Bible is a very big book and Bible commentaries are a very big subject there is room for many types of post here of course. Not everyone is always going to see eye to eye on every subject in the Scriptures that is why we find so many commentaries on the Bible even by many different Churchs and Pastors. But saying God is fair I see more as a compliment not as a bad thing as described "of course" in the manner you posted as in God's eyes. What I see as God's description of fairness and yes... maybe I need to define that much better as Jesus will insist upon Just treatment for the wicked and in looking up the word Just one will see the word fair described with just in the dictionary. Why is He Just? it is because the degree of punishment will be fair and according to their works. He promised that and there is Scripture to back that up with. That is why I believe he is a Fair Just Judge. Glad to clarify Thank You!
Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
Matthew 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works
And not one minute before but it's this among many that tells me he is a fair just Judge.
Luke 12:47-48 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
Sooo... would Adolf Hitler get more strips " Punishment or less punishment then some other sinner will as well as Joseph Stalin or some poor fool who dies first before those two.. who get decades to hundreds to thousands of years of burning torment hour by hour day be day week by week decade by decade in torment before they "Hitler & Stalin die" and billions and Trillions of years with them after they die too. And will we get to watch billions of poor souls burning over the gulf and talk to each other and if we could do that... How could there be no more suffering pain or death or crying anymore as the former things have passed away. Perished. With Billions of burning tortured souls screaming in torment hour after hour day after days and lots of them would be people that we know or knew. Maybe family members people we loved. How could anyone find any peace in that. That would not be heaven at all and to many that would be hell to watch and know about.
King James Version. Luke 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and sees Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Quote
I believe the former things are passed away, consumed, perished, no root or branch left and there will be no fireman to put the fire out nobody will put it out and it will be everlasting punishment not punishing like everlasting death forever. Passed away.. Gone. They are not coming back. Ever. Forever Eternally Gone Consumed the penalty for sin is death as Jesus paid it in full. Didn't He?
By The Way Of The Cross We Are Born Again.. No greater love then laying down ones life the best sacrifice the best gift Of all. Worthy is the Lamb He died for sinners just like me! Like you! For every single one of us!
He Died! It has touched sooo many many lives. Many many people have been touched by this. Love.. We just need to except the gift that He paid it in full. Totally in full there is nothing else. He took the penalty for our sins in full. Paid at the Cross Thank You Jesus!.
Thank You My friend For Sharing! Yes, you may have covered this topic before but this one is more based on the questions of: What kind of a God is He about His heart and His charactor and how He care's about the thoughts and the heart of His people. ------ --Abigail Posted-- If you don't mind, this has good potential, let's change the title to more of what your intentions are. OK? How about, "We Serve A Mighty God", then we can expound on Who He is and What He desires in His people? Is that alright with you? -------- -WE SERVE A MIGHTY GOD, JUST AS KING DAVID DID!
-Prioritizing Your Passions "As a deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God." --Psalm 42:1
What are the passions that drive your life? In other words, what motivates and inspires you to get up in the morning and face your day?
For some, your passion is your work. Now, work is good and can give you a sense of fulfillment in life. And I hope you get up in the morning excited about your work. But I also hope you have a job that's more than a job--a calling of God on your life.
And then there's passion for your family. That's especially good to prioritize and desire above all things to make your house a home so that your children walk with God and your family is committed to Jesus Christ. We need a passion for that!
However, our highest passion, should be things pointing to our Lord Jesus. David said in today's passage that your highest passion, the one that surpassses all others, should be for God. Like a thirsty deer running to drink from flowing waters, you and I are to run in desperate need to God. Other godly passions are good, as long as they're placed in the context of your greatest passion of all, the Lord Jesus.
So when it comes to your passions, keep the main thing the main thing by focusing on making Jesus Lord of your life and letting all your other passions flow from that! We are on this earth primarily to give God glory.
Keep God as your driving passion and allow all your other dreams and desires to flow from Him. He will never let you down. ~~Lord, You alone are my heart's desire and I long to worship You. You will show up, just when I need you the most. Blessed be Your Holy Name! --Daily Word/JG

Isaiah 28:21 For the LORD shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.
He wishes of course that none of us perish but that we all choose to love Him. His true charactor God is love of course and in the New Heavens and Earth there will be no more pain, death or crying or sorrow or sickness and love will abound and this is truly who God is. Satan is destroying the earth as God did not create it void and in vain. [Strong's: tohuw] And is still busy at doing that till this very day. But "We Serve A Mighty God" is so very true. I agree totally with that My Friend! ((( Smiles))) Nothing wrong with that at all.
If we truly got what we deserve, we would all be in hell!

Shall mortal man be more just than God? shall a man be more pure than his maker? Job 4:17
A God of love cannot let this go on forever in the air and in the world or let it enter into His brand New Kingdom for us as, what kind of Heaven in the Heavens or on Earth would that be? As this world gets more violent, bloody and wicked Satan and his followers will inherit Hell while those who follow Jesus will enter the Kingdom of God. God said:
Quote
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth” (Matthew 5:5).
The Greek word praus. Like Jesus
Quote
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Matthew 11:29
Like Moses Numbers 12:3
Quote
Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)
Except none of us are as good as Jesus and most likely that was why Moses was choosen as well "meek" and he had his faults being human like all of us too.
And Zephaniah 2:3
Quote
Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord's anger.
Jesus is gental yet strong and kind yet firm and he doesn't want any to perish of course and it's strange to His nature of love what will happen what He will do but for Him He has got to do it. Even with tears in His eyes as what is normal for Him is the (Revelation 21:4) when things will be put back in order to the way things should be, in living with Him. For this is normal for Him. In lew of Satan's world which is the normal for Satan.. Therefore Isaiah 28:21. For God this is not normal.
By His stripes we are healed by the cross we are born again. Without grace none of us would make it! We all fall short of the glory of God we are already condemned by it so all that is left is mercy from God by the way of the cross. Hillsong - At the Cross - With Subtitles/Lyrics .
Blessings Lynn, I just was reading past posts and this one seems to fit here, if you don't mind. It's talking about 'being born again' and 'I once was lost'. Yes, Jesus died on that Cross so that we can be saved from Hell. He paid our sin-debt. Before we are Christians, we are 'LOST' in our sin. So, we must accept Jesus as our Savior, repent, and ask Him to lead our lives. The Shepherd Jesus has 'FOUND' us! Thanks my friend. ---------------- --LOST AND FOUND!
Luke 15:4-10 --- Rejoice with me, for I have found the [coin] which I lost! --Luke 15:9 --- Recently, I couldn't find my credit card. I began frantically looking for it because losing a credit card is no small thing. Automatic payments and daily purchases would all be disrupted until it could be replaced. Not to mention the possibility of someone finding it and charging items to our account. What a relief it was when my wife found it on the floor under the computer table.
In Luke 15:8-10, Christ told the story of something that was lost--a valuable coin, which was equivalent to a day's wages. The woman who lost the coin was so concerned about locating it that she lit a lamp, swept the house, and carefully searched until she found it. Then she told her friends "Rejoice with me, for I have found the [coin] which I lost!" (v.9)Then Jesus gave the point of the story: "Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents" (v.10).
People are of great value to God. Those who don't know Him are lost in their sins. Christ paid the ultimate price by dying on the cross for their redemption. Do you know people who are lost? Ask the Lord to give you an opportunity to share the good news with them so they can repent of their sins and be found by our gracious God. --- -To be found, you must first admit that you're lost.
-Luke 15:1-10 ------- What man...having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine...and go after the one which is lost? --LUKE 15:4- ---- -Jesus underscored the importance of every person to God with three stories about something lost--a sheep, a coin, and a son (Luke 15). In each story, a person has lost something of great value. When it is found, friends and neighbors are called to celebrate and rejoice together.
We are all of great value to God, who offers us forgiveness and new life through Christ. This new life, is called "Born Again." (see John 3:1-16) Jesus faithfully pursues us with His love and grace. 'There is great joy in heaven over one sinner who repents' ( Luke 15:7).
We find more about this 'new life' in Ephesians 1:7. "In Jesus we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding." =REDEEMED / By: Big Daddy Weave <http://youtu.be/_p31gY0t4pA> -------

By the way of the Cross we are born again as Yeshua/Jesus came to fulfill those laws of Moses, the Sacrifice and Atonement for Sin. Thank You Jesus!
AMEN! I like this statement. Get right to the point! Jesus is our Shepherd and He seeks us out, when He finds us, (as we are lost in sin), He sends the Holy Spirit to convict our hearts. We are convicted, we confess our need for a Savior, (we can't save ourselves), and we are 'SAVED', from sin (Hell), and brought into His Heavenly Kingdom. PTL! Thank you, Lynn. This is a real good Topic! -------- --RE-CREATION~~
-2 Corinthians 5:12-21 ----- Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. --2 Corinthians 5:17 ---- CHRIS SIMPSON'S life used to be consumed by hate. After he and his wife lost their first child, he was confused and angry. He directed that anger toward various ethnic groups and covered his body with hate-filled tattoos.
After listening to his son mimic his hatred, though, Simpson knew he needed to change. He watched a Christian movie about courage and began attending Church. One month later he was baptized as a follower of Jesus Christ. Simpson is now a new person and is leaving the hate behind him, which includes the painful and expensive process of having his tattoos removed.
The apostle Paul knew something about this kind of deep transformation. He hated Jesus and persecuted His followers (Acts 22:4-5; 1 Cor. 15:9). But a personal encounter and spiritual union with Christ (Acts 9:1-20) changed all of that, causing him to reevaluate his life in light of what Jesus accomplished on the Cross. This union with Christ made Paul a new person. The old order of sin, death, and selfishness was gone and a new beginning, a new Covenant, a new perspective and way of living had come.
Following Jesus is not turning over a new leaf; it is beginning a new life under a new Master. ------------- -Being in Christ is not rehabilitation, it's re-creation.

-"The true children of God are those who let God's Spirit lead them." (Romans 8:14)
---- ~~TO HEAR many of us talk, you'd think we didn't believe that verse. You'd think we didn't believe in the Trinity. We talk about the Father and study the Son--but when it comes to the Holy Spirit, we are confused at best and frightened at worst. Confused because we've never been taught. Frightened because we've been taught to be afraid.
May I simplify things a bit? The Holy Spirit is the presence of God in our lives, carrying on the work of Jesus. The Holy Spirit helps us in three directions--inwardly (by granting us the fruits of the Spirit, Gal. 5:22-24), upwardly (by praying for us, Rom. 8:26), and outwardly (by pouring God's love into our hearts, Rom 5:5).
