Alternatives to abortion include adoption, financial assistance, prayer, counseling, and furthering one's education as an investment for the future. Adoption is a good choice for teens still in school or a single woman who fears she can't support the child after he or she is born. For women who need financial assistance there are programs that provide medical care, food, clothing, and baby supplies. Some organizations provide counseling so that a pregnant woman can find out all alternatives to abortion that are available. They will give support and help in trying to make sense of all concerns associated with bringing a child into this world. Christian counseling can provide emotional and spiritual help. "In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion" (Psalm 71:1). Pray for clarity of mind and guidance before choosing to terminate a pregnancy.

Adoption should be considered prayerfully. This will mean allowing a couple to raise your child as their own. This decision should not be made hastily but is a good option when considering alternatives to abortion. Many couples cannot have children of their own and would jump at the opportunity to have a little baby. Adoption agencies can help the mother-to-be screen applicants with the hope of finding someone that one could be comfortable with. The adoptive parents might even offer financial assistance to the woman who is carrying their future child. This is a good option for a teen who wants to finish school and can't raise a child on her own. This is a great option for women who do not want a child and know that they will never change their mind.

Abortion is morally wrong and considered to be murder by all of those who believe life begins at conception. Having an abortion can lead to infertility, premature babies, emotional problems, mental disorders, and even death. Emotional, spiritual, mental, and physically problems are common among those who have had abortions. These are good reasons to consider alternatives to abortion long before making a decision. Women who believe that murder is wrong will have a hard time reconciling what has been done. Many who have had one suffer with frequent nightmares, depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and even contemplate suicide. Those who have terminated a pregnancy should seek counseling and ask God for forgiveness. There are Christian organizations who offer group and individual counseling to help those who need it. Listening to other women who have gone through the same thing will help. Knowing that others are suffering the same way makes the woman feel less alone as she understands that she is not the only one going through this. It helps to hear other women's stories of how each woman is coping after terminating their gestation.

Primarily those who work in abortion clinics do not have a female in mind when talking about how much better it will be to terminate a pregnancy. Most of them are in the business for the money and do not make the money if you don't consent. This is something to keep in mind when considering what to do. People who work in organizations that offer alternatives to abortion are usually volunteers who do not make any money to tell you the truth. This should speak volumes to anyone who is doing research or seeking help after becoming pregnant. Christians won't tell you what is popular or best for them but what options there are available to help you with keeping the child. Most people who work in Christian settings truly want to help others and they also want to save your child.

Over 90% of women who decide to terminate a pregnancy do so for non-medical reasons. Statistics show that these reasons are primarily social. Some do it just because being pregnant is not convenient. Others feel alone and do not take out the time to get all the facts or find out alternatives to abortion because many feel pressured by others to have one. They do not hear the horrific details of how the child is expelled from the womb. Most of them want to believe that what they are carrying is just a blob of tissue because believing that makes it much easier. Organizations that offer alternatives to abortion want women to be empowered by knowing the truth. The truth is that these little blobs of tissue are real people who have a beating heart, a brain, all of their organs, a nervous system, and a face that looks human by the time they are several weeks old.

Abortion clinics do not tell the mother-to-be that her little baby will suffer horribly during the procedure. They paint a picture that is less dramatic from real life. When a woman becomes pregnant her emotional state is often compromised anyway so thinking clearly will be difficult. This is why it is so important to get several opinions from various sources before making such a life changing decision. Maybe the mother-to-be is devastated by the news and just wants to feel better. Terminating a pregnancy might do that for some ladies. When seeking out someone who has a different opinion from abortion remember that those who offer alternatives to abortion may not solve your problem immediately but they can give you options that will help to accept what is happening to you. These options can give one hope in the midst of the storm.

He knew me when I was first conceived,
Each finger and each toe,
Although they were not yet well formed,

Who had raised me from the dead.

And though my mother killed me,
I love her just the same
And pray that one day she won't cry

I'm safe within God's care;

Her little one was still there.

I would have liked to run and play

If you are considering having an abortion, I plead with you to please reconsider and know that there are many alternatives for you.

Abortion is murder. The Lord tells us in the Bible that He plants a baby in a mother's womb. There are no mistakes when a person becomes pregnant. There are hundreds of thousands of women wanting to have a baby. Perhaps your baby can have a wonderful loving family, if you will consider contacting a Pro-Life Center for Women.

If you have already had an abortion, Jesus can and will forgive you. Call out to Him, and thank Him for forgiving you and allowing you to continue on in this life until you are called home to be with your baby.

Praise God for the blood of Jesus that is sufficient to cover all our sins! All of them---
--past sins,
---present sins,
----future sins,
----big sins, and small sins,
----it makes no difference.

Thay are all under the blood of Jesus, and we are free just to enjoy our forgivenesss!

I was an OB nurse and also Director of a crisis pregnancy center that REALLY CARED. We did EVERYTHING possible to help a pregnant woman carry her child to term, including staffing a cleaning crew for a woman on bedrest, babysitting for pg moms who had appointments, offering transportation, arranging for housing, etc.

I lived a crisis pg while unmarried and a single parent of 2 small children. I was on strict bedrest for 7 months. My child's father walked out on us, I lost my job, my family, some friends, was harassed by my ex-husband and tormented every minute that I continued to bleed and contract. YET, GOD SHIELDED MY SON UNDER HIS "WING." God provided every single thing I needed, including TAKING ME TO "THE WOODSHED" in order to draw me back to Him.

Today, that "baby" is a healthy, grown man who worships The LORD God Almighty, loves his wife passionately and trains up his children in the ways of their Maker!

YHVH is the Maker of Life. He loves life.
