Hey guys , I wanted to get your opinion on this matter. chelation with dmps/dmsa etc mobilizes mercury threw the kidneys and out the urine. if your kidneys are not able to handle this load from already being sick from mercury essentially the door will be closed and the kidneys will not process the new mercury and all your doing is moving mercury around in your body.
Also, kidneys are not the best organ to deal with mercury and can acctually permanetly damage them.
The better approach is threw the stool, glutatione is mostly responsible for this. so in essence boosting your glutatione threw vitamin supplements etc will clean the blood sufficiently.
we still need to get the mercury into the blood and im assuming things like cilantro,ALA,Chelorex etc will do a more natural job involing less of the kidneys.
Has anyone heard of this approach? I want to get the mercury out of my body in the safest way.

So long as you don't have any kidney problems, you will be ok to use DMSA. If you get kidney pains, try just using ALA on it's own for a month or two and let your kidneys heal.

I believe that mercury will cause some kind of damage to any organ it touches, so the liver may have an advantage here because of it's ability to regenerate.
As for how much damage x-amount of mercury causes to the liver vs. kidneys: I've never seen any solid information/studies that address this, so it remains a good question that I'm sure will eventually be answered.
Just keep in mind that cilantro is not a chelator. It will move mercury from the CNS into the blood, but you will want a chelator present to bind it at the same time (DMSA/Sulfur/etc.).
Also, when detoxing via the liver, mercury will be thrown into the colon via the bile ducts. The colon will efficiently want to reabsorb some of this mercury back into the blood/body, so be sure to use Algin to prevent this redistribution.
Also, chlorella is famous because it's a source of sulfur. That's why it smells/tastes so bad. Just be careful because some people have a serious reaction to it. It worked for me, but start with only very small amounts to be sure you handle it.
