My tip: mix 50% white vinegar and 50% water into an empty jar. Then fold a kitchen towel into an eighth, so that its thickness is eight times the original. Dip it into the mixture and use this to clean your mouse mat/computer screen. Dip a tissue in the mixture to clean the inside of a mouse and the mouse ball.
Regular PC users should do this every 3–4 days; you'll see how dirty your mouse ball gets. This will drastically lengthen the lifespan of a mouse.
You should be able to get white vinegar from a supermarket's cleaning-products section. Malt vinegar could be used if you can't get hold of white.
Under each mouse are pads that the mouse rests on. These need to be cleaned too, although less often, using the side of a coin.
Google 'white vinegar uses' for a huge list of its uses.
