O.K., here's a weird one. About three weeks ago, I put my left arm across the back of the seat in the car and got a searing pain in my upper arm. Ever since, I get excruciating pain in my upper arm whenever I raise my arm to shoulder height or higher. The pain is right in the area where I got a lot of shots, esp. the one that leaves a small indent in the arm (smallpox?) Has anyone else had this or something like it. I am wondering if it is a pulled muscle, or if it could have something to do with detox - perhaps there is a lot of residual mercury in that area.

This is from page 28 of Andrew Cutler's book, "Amalgam Illness diagnosis and treatment". I just read this last night and it kind of sounds like what you are experiencing.
"A feeling of weakness occurs in the upper arms. It occurs on that part of the upper arm and shoulder that is on top if arms are being held out to the sides. The feeling of weakness actually occurs on the part of the upper arm between the biceps and triceps- there is no muscle there to BE weak, but the feeling is very distinctly localized in that area. The actual muscle that causes the weak feeling movements is the top portion of the deltoid on the shoulder."

Dallas, When you lift your arm above shoulder height, there are tendons that cross in your shoulder. You can feel this or some people even hear a click when lifting their arm above their heads. If you are still having the pain, you may have damaged one of them. Here is a page you may want to look at: http://healthgate.partners.org/brow...ml&title=Rotator%20Cuff%20RepairTendons heal slowly, they are built like ropes with many small strands and can break. Mercury interferes with vitamin C (which is why mercury toxic persons should be taking vitamin C supplements) which is necessary to make bones, ligaments and tendons strong. If this pain continues unchanged, you may want to get a doctor to look at it to prevent permanent damage. In the mean time, there are a couple supplements that can help heal and supress the swelling and pain: Glucosamine JNT - Joint Health Supplement Hope this helps.

Thanks, Russ and Chloe. Yes, that is EXACTLY where my arm hurts, Chloe. I guess I will give it a little more time, sling it, and hope that I don't need the procedures listed on the link you mentioned, Russ.
