Many people don't understand the relationship between mercury toxicity and autism. When glutathione levels are naturally low in a child, his/her ability to expel mercury—which is contained in many vaccines—are low as well. These children often get autism after being vaccinated.
California passed strict new laws against mercury-containing vaccines a couple years ago and as a result, autism rates have dropped for the first time in any U.S. state.

Russ, How do you know if glutathione is low? I have a 3 yo niece with regressive autism and through extensive surfing for 6 months, just came up with a huge discovery for my son. I spoke of him on the mercury toxicity index about emotional stuff and allergies and migraine headaches.
We'll I just came across NLD, non-verbal learning disorder and it fits him. It all fits and makes sense now what we've been going through with him for 3+years (he's 7 now and things got problematic when he went to preschool) I am overwhelmed with emotion, both positive and negative. We can intervene and accomodate him to grow up successful and I'm saddened by what he's been through.
There is overlap of symptoms of Asperger's and it's a "right brain hemisphere disorder" that's easily missed b/c reading and verbal skills are so good. I'm wondering if chelation or HBOT might help him. My niece has done HBOT once and the read on it sounds promising...but I've just touched on dangers of oxygen toxicity and even fire hazard...I hope I can get rid of some of my emotional stuff with my amalgam removal this coming month.
I find I cannot discuss my son's issues and my discovery without crying which is certainly ineffective if I'm to advocate for him. Any comments are welcome...lots of "stuff" going on here!

Terri,
I'm sorry, I don't know how to test G levels, but there must be some way to because I have a video that talks about it indirectly. I would check on the Internet or with your doctor.
I'm sorry to hear about this situation but fortunately, I believe there is hope, and this is one of the great things about the Internet: You can see what others are doing and what kind of success they are having with various treatments.
I have personally been told by some parents with autistic children that they put their children on diets to avoid certain foods and/or took mercury chelation and have had tremendous success.
If you're not already, you may want to search Yahoo for some groups related to this subject and see what the most successful treatments are.
