I'm very curious about this. Even small amounts of alcohol cause very bad physical and psychological reaction for me.
Irritablity, loss of mood stabability (within the next following days too), itchy skin, and swollen eyelids.
Anyone else have bad reaction to small amounts of alcohol?

I don't drink alcohol, but the few times I have, I got tipsy quickly. It may be that some of us suseptible to mercury poisoning have a low tolerance of toxins. I get a bad reaction to cigarette smoke. Just being exposed to the smoke of one cigarette makes my throat and eyes sore. I can't go to places where people are allowed to smoke.

I still have bad reactions to cigarette smoke, almost like allergic reactions.
I used to be really sensitive to alcohol, like, don't open a bottle in the same room or the fumes will get me tipsy. Now, with amalgams gone, I'm like most "normal" people and can have a few drinks without any huge affect.
It's funny. I get thirsty for a beer about once a month. Otherwise, I don't drink.

I don't drink now, but when I was young, I would get "tipsy" on a small glass of wine and drunk really quick on any type of liquor and totally sick on beer. Cigarette smoke makes me feel sick -headachy and sick to the stomach, and it always has.

Wine make me terribly tired and gives me a horrible headache; even the smallest amounts. It did before my amalgam removal and it still does now.

I was hoping someone would have the terrible reaction I have. My anger is much much worse the next day too. Alcohol is really a huge hazard for me.

I used to drink with no problems. I would drink anything pretty much. Now it's been like over a week past my removal and I had some sparkling wine a day before. I got headache that night and as I write this I feel like I still do. Can this be related to my mercury removal? I've read in Huggins book "it' all in your head" that he says not to drink alcohol during detox. Anybody knows why? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />
