Hi all,
I have multiple issues stemmed from teeth related problems (amalgams, root canals, and unhealed old teeth surgery sites). After struggling for more than a year with chronic fatigue and other related symptoms, I come to know about heavy metal toxic (mercury & arsenic in my case) and toxins from root canal and old teeth surgeries sites.
My problem is to find knowledgeable dentist to help me sort through this health issues. Been to many dentists and doctors in my search of remedy. I find it so difficult to find proper health practitioner to help.
After finding no one in my country (the last one only want to deal with my amalgam, but avoiding my root canal and old surgery sites issues) I managed to fly to another country (15 hours travel time btw) to meet with an integrative oral surgeon (in the hope that he can take out my aching root canal teeth safely).
I was hoping that this dentist can deal with my multiple issues. He seemed to be more knowledgeable than all the dentists I've ever been to. He has a long approach though, starting with handling my candida issues first (he said it is to make sure my body able to do proper passive detox function) before jump into the dental treatment. Afterwards the plan is to do active chelation/detoxification.
However, I have concerns regarding the way he performed the test and treatment. He used bio-energy/muscle testing, not only to test whatever toxins/problems I have, but also for the supplements/homeopathy remedies prescription.
My concerns is because I am a Christian, and have doubts whether these kind of practice is scientifically and medically proper, or it has a root/mingle with occult practice.
Right now I don't have choice of dentist to choose from (to tell the truth, even going to him has stretched my ability so far), but on the other hand, I don't want to dabble in occultism just to be healed.
Anyone can give good information on these particular issues? I thought perhaps all those who has been in this journey before can give some good information? Maybe where to find good knowledgeable christian oral surgeon who not only know how to take out amalgam fillings, but also deal with other issues like root canal and old teeth surgery sites?
Thanks for your attention. Looking forward to your reply.

Sounds like it might be quackery. Where is the proof that such testing works? I wouldn't call it occult, however I would say it might be a waste of time and money that might even be dangerous. I am all for alternative medicine when it makes sense. Does his testing and treatment program make sense to you? I also do not believe that there is value to homeopathy. You can draw your own conclusions about it.
How can we recommed an oral surgeon when you don't even mention what country you are in? Are you willing to travel all around the world for dental care? Some Asian practitioners are good. An oral surgeon doesn't have to be a Christian to give good dental care. There are many high quality dentists in Japan for example who aren't Christian. There are many Chinese and Indian practitioners who are very knowledgeable in healing with herbs. Before starting any such herbal treatment though, do your own research and make sure that the herbs are safe, and that the herbs are packaged from a major herb company and not loose unidentifyable ground herbs from a tiny herb store that might be contaminated. My favorite tool to help in detoxification is Triple Leaf Detox Tea.

A definition of homeopathy I found. Does this make sense to you? "The principle of similars (or "like cures like") is a central homeopathic principle. The principle states that a disease can be cured by a substance that produces similar symptoms in healthy people." "The principle of dilutions (or "law of minimum dose") states that the lower the dose of the medication, the greater its effectiveness. " What Wikipedia says about homeopathy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homeopathy

Hi JK,
Sorry I forgot to mention the country I am currently live in. I am residing in Singapore now. I do agree that a doctor need not to be a Christian to be able to treat well. It's just that the dentists which happened to treat my issues use all these methods. Unfamiliarity breeds suspicion. Esp when I already had bad experience with doctors & dentists which brought me to this point.
Thank you for your information on homeopathy. I am still researching this stuff (and the bio energy testing). I need to make sure all the bad things mentioned are not another propaganda from the mainstream to discourage people. I mean, if they can do the same thing with so many other issues (like the mercury, etc.) I am not surprised if they did the same thing with the alternative treatments (ex: there have been bad mouthing amalgam removal as placebo as well). But as a Christian, my concern lie in some other priorities.
I have to say I agree with the doctor's diagnosis (i have done checking prior going to him), so I would say quackery is not an issue here for me. It's just the way he determined which type/brand of supplement which suit my body that concerned me. I know since having allergies issues I can try and error each time or try to find alternatives. But my question is that whether this method is the right thing to take.
So yeah, if you have infos on good oral surgeon (the one who understand multiple issues in one whole body, not only the one who look into your mouth only) I would be very happy to explore.
Thanks:)

I am in the US. Here typically oral surgeons and dentists just do the dental work, then tell you to see a physician to handle medical issues.

You can analyze your diet and see what is missing, or you can have blood tests to check your levels of vitamins and minerals. Most vitamins usually don't have to be tested for, as taking a reasonable amount of supplements won't hurt you. Imo many doctors do too much unnexessary testing.
