I have recently finished reading "The Wellness Project: A Rocket Scientist's Blueprint For Health" by Roy Mankovitz and found it very relevant.
I find that there are lots of health books that focus on diet and many that focus on ailments, but I haven't found many combining the two. When I heard about a book written by a chap who had multiple mercury containing injections, amalgam fillings, repeated prescription antibiotics I started to get interested. You won't be suprised that he subsequently suffered from candida and mercury poisoning symptoms amongst other things. The author shares decades of experience (good and bad) I found this really interesting as quite a number of them I could identify with.
I will only take away certain things from the diet (as an example I have increased my intake of animal protein and fats), I will still stay clear from the recommended non-bitter fruit due to candida worries.
I found the section on supplements particularly interesting, you will find the author is very keen on magnesium (taken topically, orally or as a nasal spray), iodine, spore-forming bacteria, fulvic acids and Dolomite.
The book goes on to discuss emotional detoxification, the living environment and personal care with good practical tips throughout.
Just thought I'd share this with you as I haven't seen this book mentioned on the health sites that I visit.
