Hi! I am new here I would like to ask how many of you, besides having mercury toxicity, also have other heavy metal toxicity? I just got my hair test and the result I have a very high mercury, followed by arsenic. I know prior to the test about mercury from my teeth, but I have no idea where the arsenic comes from. Now for chelating, how should I deal with this? Should I focus on mercury first (currently I am detoxing based on dentist's suggestion, preparing for filling replacement)? Or should I start to get the arsenic out? Anybody here has experience with arsenic? Thanks, ERM

If your body's natural detox channels for heavy metals are overwhelmed due to mercury, then other heavy metals even with very small exposure may accumulate over time rather than being excreted.
First get the fillings replaced, then use the Cutler chelation protocol first with just DMSA, then a few months later with DMSA and ALA. DMSA chelates lead, mercury, arsenic, cadmium, and some other heavy metals. Getting rid of plenty of mercury may help your body get rid of other heavy metals.
Hair tests are not so easy to interpret. They give an indication of what your body is excreting, not what is present in your body. Sometimes high hair levels is a good thing, as it shows your body is excreting these things. Some who are most toxic show very low hair levels, as very little excretion of heavy metals is taking place.
Also eliminate tuna, swordfish, and other high mercury fish from your diet. Beware of seaweed, as it might contain high levels of arsenic. There have been cases of arsenic poisoning from taking kelp tablets. Make sure that any kelp/seaweed you take is free of heavy metals.
