What are some "good" soaps that I can buy in a store that aren't filled with chemicals, perfumes, etc.?
I tried Dove Sensitive Skin. It is supposed to be hypo-allergenic & fragrance free but I got a severe reaction to it. I think that Toms of Maine might be OK.
Are there any others?

I disagree with Miricle II being suggested, respectfully so. Do a google on that soap. A bit ago, the soap was found to have bacteria in it, the company was informed and refused to pull it from the shelves.
Reason #1 - When I was looking for this soap at my local healthfood store, I asked and was informed of this. They pulled the soap and refused to sell it anymore. A customer came in with a bottle that had been purchased and didn't smell right to them so they brought it back. The owner asked some questions to others in the business and found out about the bacteria issue.
The owner told me not to buy it from someone else, but to first go on the internet and do a search and read the information myself, then make an informed choice, she was just refusing to resell it due to the liability issue of a substandard product.
Reason #2 - If we are to follow the theory of whatever we put on our skin is absorbed into our body, so we should be able to not just put it on our skin, but eat is also, then we should put nothing on our skin that we do not know what all the ingredients are. Miricle II does not list all of it's ingredients. In fact, one of the "secret" ingredients sounds like an artificial surfactant, IMO. I have no idea exactly what is in the product, if they use a chemical fragrance or an EO, or what preservative they use. All of these things might not have been important to me in the past, but they are now. If you don't list what you put in your product, I don't want your product.
Reasons have ended.
Soap is one of the few products out there that a list of ingredients are not required by the FDA. Even if it's a melt and pour soap and is nothing but chemical ingredients, we don't have to know that, it's just soap.
I encourage all of your to purchase only soap that has a list of ingredients on it and further than that, contact the company and point blank ask them if there are any other ingredients in their soap. If they ingredient is less or equal to 1% of the recipe, they do not have to list it (I believe this is true of all lip balms and shampoos, conditioners, etc, although MOST companies do list all ingredients regardless).
I would suggest any handmade soap, whether it is produced in small batches or mass produced, I guess I mean a non-commercial brand. You can find it at your local healthfood store or at a local flea market.
I would suggest a brand that uses only natural colorants and only essential oils to fragrance the bar or no fragrance at all. If the label states "fragrance" that is a chemical. There is a possibility that it could be a combination of essential oils and rather than list them all, they grouped it as fragrance, but you wouldn't know this unless you contacted the company. It is not proper to list "essential oils", you must list each one used, so you will at times find them listed as "fragrance" but they are EO's.
If you do not understand what an ingredient is, I would be more than happy to tell you. Most of the ingredients listed will be either the oils, before saponification takes place or after it takes place.
I was looking for Miracle II as a shampoo, not a soap, but after what I read, I went with something else. Please do not read disrespect into my post, I do not have any. There was a time when I blindly believed and used without questioning anything, now I have a mouth full of metals that need to come out, children that have been poisoned with shots and my metals and a body that feels much older than it is due to the abuse. And now, I question a lot and each day there is more and more I question.

For my hands, I use Dr Bronner's castille hemp soap: http://tinyurl.com/d2qqxFor the shower, I have been making my own soap, using lye, coconut oil, and olive oil. For my face, I have been using Clenia wash, a prescription foaming wash prescribed by the dermatologist for my rosacea.
