I have bought this natural hair product in hopes that it will not give me bad reactions as last time when I dyed my hair, using a regular hair dye
This hair dye does not contain ammonium. Here are some of the other ingredients however:
propylene glycol, peg -2 cocamine, cetearyl alcohol, athanolamine, stearic acid, cetrimonium choloride, sodium bisulfate, tetrasodium EDTA...
Ok so it sounds to me like it has some chemicals in it, but this is considered to be an organic hair dye based on plant extracts. I wouldn't worry about dying my hair so much if it wasn't for the fact that mercury poisoining experiencesactually made me go grey (not completely). I have been literally scared to death from some of the symptoms of the poisoning. Regardless, I'm only 28 years old so my physical appearence matters to me..Just trying to explain why I would even consider dying my hair if I have suffered mercury poisoining.
Any thoughts on this product? Thanks..

Some of those ingredients are harmful. Hair products and makeup are known to contain some "really bad stuff".
I would look each ingredient up on the web and see what you think of them. I bet you will be appalled.

I use to be a hair dresser (add all those toxins to my mercury <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />) so I read alot about hair products and know that they say that the safest hair color is a semi-permanent color as it doesn't contain as much bad stuff and penitrate your scalp as much. Semi-permanent last 6-8 weeks depending on how many times you shampoo of course. The only non chemical hair color is natrual henna which doesn't cover grey.
One other option would be to do a reverse highlight-pull strands through a cap and apply color to the strands only. This is safer because the color doesn't make contact with your scalp.
