Hi everyone, this is my first post here but for the past few days I've been exhausting the search feature and wasn't able to find what I was looking for.
I've never had any fillings, and haven't had any vaccinations for around twenty years but I read that some mercury can stay in your body permanently unless you get it out, which is why I'm here.
Can someone direct me to an all inclusive process, that is safe (I'm in no rush), and known to be effective at removing mercury from my body and brain?
I found: "I found "http://www.mercola.com/article/mercury/detox_protocol.htm"
Is this known to be the best way because I see some people saying that chlorella is dangerous and to stick to another method which just involves the DMPS over a period of time.
So what's the low down? The real story, the known good method of doing this the right way?

DMPS is dangerous. Use the Cutler protocol with alpha lipoic acid and DMSA.

Thanks for the response, that's the same conclusion I've come to. I ordered my DMSA couple days ago and am waiting for three months to start my ALA.
Or is that necessary for people who haven't had silver fillings?

Some people get mercury poisoning from eating plenty of tuna or other high mercury fish, or from industrial/environmental exposure. DMSA will increase the excretion of not just mercury, bu also lead and some other heavy metals as well.
DMSA should be taken on an empty stomach so that absorption is enhanced.

Sorry I'll be more specific; is it necessary to wait three months before starting ALA? I read that DMSA isn't even a necessity but that DMSA (read this in a post by Cutler). If that's the case I don't see why waiting three months to start ALA would be necessary.
Also, do you have any recommendations of a good source of ALA?
thanks again for the responses

http://orbisvitae.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=59046#Post59046Alpha lipoic acid flushes out deeply stored mercury, such as in the brain, nervous system and vital organs. It is a good idea to start DMSA a few months before starting ALA to get some mercury out of the body that is not so deeply stored, enabling mercury to later come out of the brain and nervous system when ALA is added. A few companies make ALA in 50 mg tablets or capsules. Country Life, Source Naturals, and the Vitamin Shoppe brand are three I can think of. Kirkman might be the only source for 25 mg ALA tablets. Tablets and capsules of ALA 100 mg or larger are easy to find.

hi there
is there any information or has anyone experienced using ALA alone or before DMSA?
or is using ALA alone just simply not the way to do it?
apologies if my question sounds silly - just so confused with all the contra - information out there.
thanks

thanks JK98!
DMSA expensive and difficult to find good quality products as well.
what about ALGIN? can that be taken on its own? and how does one know that a particular detox supplement is actually working and when to stop?

It is easy to find DMSA in the US. VRP makes 25 mg DMSA capsules, while the other makers make just 100 mg or 250 mg capsules. In the US, a bottle of 45 100 mg DMSA capsules is around $40. In some other places the price might be double this or more.
I have no idea about algin.
