I ran across a product which is purely homeopathic. I know about the Cutler protocol and wonder what you guys think of this other way of detoxing or if you have any opinions about it's safety? Very tempted to try it. You just do 3 little capsules a day. Sure sounds easy!

Many here will probably tell you that homeopathy is nonsense that should be avoided.

Other methods of detoxing include high doses of iodine(around 50 mg a day), and eating cilantro. You could also try some detox teas, and use saunas and steam rooms. My own opinion is that homeopathy doesn't work, and that high dosage iodine, cilantro, suanas and steam rooms will help with detoxification. If you use saunas or steam rooms, make sure to increase the amount of mineral supplements you take, and add extra sodium and potassium to your diet, as plenty of these will be lost in the sweat.

I don't know how much detox teas will help in removing mercury, however they do seem to help in removing other substances from the body that make you feel sick(perhaps toxins from candida or parasites?).

Depends on what the homeopathic treatment is and who has made it up I guess. I've had varying responses (sometimes a lack of) to them. But I have tried some that so stimulated my body to excrete toxins, thatI had to take a reduced dose and keep stopping so my body could "catch up" to the amount of toxins coming out of me.

The one I tried was "HEELS" detox kit. Very powerful! Very helpful too for all the organs of elimination. It is often recommended for toxicity (metal included). I simply could never take the full dose for the whole period indicated. It was too strong! I only did what my body could handle and then took a break if it got too much and tried again later. This got alot of toxins out of me at that time.

I have also had a Doctor who has treated hundreds of mercury toxic patients over the years try me on his own homeopathy and it was so strong, I came up in mercury rashes. Which I usually did after hot baths, or taking mobilising agents for metals, but his stuff really stimulated more of it to come out.

I've tried a number of things, and some homeopathic treatments along the way. Not all were very effective or gave any real reactions, but some most certainly did do something!

Most stable and effective at that time was the Cutler protocol in the end. I did various things to try and get metals out of myself, some not so wise!

However, what JK has mentioned above would be a very powerful way to help eliminate metals! Be careful however, as it is easy to overdo it too and mobilise far too much at onetime. Exercise is another way to also aid the movement and elimination of toxins, as I've thankfully found out!

There has been real scientific breakthroughs explaining the mechanisms for homeopathy. It's really quite amazing.

Of course, the pharmaceutical-controlled (read Rockefeller) mainstream media (including wikipedia) are not unbiased on these subjects.

As for me, I used to have terrible pet allergies. Just horrible. I used a bottle of NSP's "Animal Dander" homeopathic over a period of a few days and the allergy completely went away never to return.

Before the homeopathic, if I touched the cat and then later touched my face, I would continue in terrible sneezing fits, watery eyes and swelling for hours.

After the homeopathic, I can literally put my face in the cat's fur and nothing happens. I have no reaction at all. Now that's amazing.

Lauren just a note. You probably already know this, but just in case. It is not usually recommended to use a brain chelator like cilantro until the blood levels of mercury have been reduced. They start to come down during the months following complete amalgam removal. So usually after 3 months or so it should be safer to use.

I'm sure you know Cutler does not typically recommend cilantro, because it is not understood how it works regarding the removal of mercury, so he cannot set out a protocol for it. Whereas he can with DMSA/DMPS and ALA to keep the blood levels level and the movement of mercury alot more stable.

However, some people opt for cilantro anyway for various reasons and it may indeed help, as long as blood levels are reduced first. Some may find it problematic if it's creating too much redistribution. I guess this too can depend how well a person's elimination is working. I have always had big problems with mobilsing toxins because I have imbalanced liver phases I and II and gut problems, so it's very easy for me to get myself into dire straits! Not so easy to recover.

Even too much exercise is warned about by Cutler because of mobilising too many toxins at once which may overwhelm the body's ability to keep up with it all. For me, I MUST exercise if I am to keep things circulating and toxins moving through more freely because if I don't, I get into big trouble. But if I overdo it, for sure, I see the results of too much mobilisation! So I need to rest until that subsides. Moderate exercise is very beneficial to detoxification - for me, essential.

This is what Cutler says on homeopathy. All in all, he says not to use it for mercury detox, since the body have no natural ability to get rid of mercury properly, and will just shuffle it around. Homeopathy is build on the principle of activating the bodys natural ability to heal, and since the body dont have an natural ability to heal a mercury toxicity... well.

He DOES however reccomend it for so called drainage, I think he means suportive drainage of the liver/kidneys? since they will go though a hard time, once you start detoxing. Appearently people have had good results with that.

(About using homeopathy for merc detox)

(About using it as an supportive draining remedy, kidneys liver, I would think) http://onibasu.com/archives/am/2429.html

I used to go to an homeopath myself, once every 5 week for half a year, but had to stop, as I got rather broke after having an acute rootchannel done...

Anyhow. I received treatment for my morbus crohn, and while it got mildly worse for the first 5 weeks, the second round seemed to help, and the theird one even more. I went from having a bmi of 17 (of the start of my treatment) to 19.5, at the end of it. Mostly due to the reason that I could actually eat food again, without getting insane fits of stomach pain.

So it got me from a point where I was very close at ending up in the hospital, to just being someone who has to be a little mindfull of ones eating habits smile

The homeopath I was beeing treated by, gave me some sort of combi-treatment aka. a had to take a certain remedy on mondays, another one on tuesdays, ect. So Im not sure if buying a homeopathic bottle from the webshops will grant you the same relief.

Its properly a good thing to try out for afflictions related to mercury poisoning, though I think Im going to trust Cutler on not taking it for the detox itself.

I'm glad you brought this up Rielfen and thank you for the information!

In hindsight, I think Cutler is right. On one hand I could feel it helping me, on another I was getting ALOT of symptoms that I now feel were actually unreasonable to put up with. But yes, I did release alot of toxins during it and am certain it helped with elimination. But now I think back, there would have been alot of redistribution of metals during that process, which is very risky since mercury is so incredibly toxic. So perhaps it is not so wise to recommend as a mercury detox avenue afterall.

In saying that, I have also had the support treatments for liver/kidneys etc (drainage remedies), and they were ok. They simply helped support these organs during any detox I was undergoing. I think they may have helped, but certainly did not create any worsening of symptoms themselves.

You're much welcome Bex.

Im glad that it did eliminate some of your mercury burden, even if it arent something to be used in the future. I dont think its possible to completely avoid re-poisoning during a mercury detox. Even with Cutler method there are small levels mercury distribution going on. I had a minor chlorella/coriander disaster myself. Sure it wasent the ideal way to detoxify so early on, but atleast the mercury that DID come out, is out for good.

Also wanted to add, that one of the ways to increasing the effectiveness of homeopathy (according to the homeopath I was treated by, atleast) is to take the remedy on an empthy stormach in the morning, shuffle it around your mouth abit for tree minutes, then sink, and then wait half an hour before eating, drinking or brushing your teeths, even. Its somewhat of an menace in the beginning, but after a week or so, I got used to it.
