Hello, I suffer from muscles weakness a period after removing my amalgam fillings. I wrote here before about my moisture problems but I think it is also/just muscles weakness because also my legs and eyelips are weak. Is anybody knows if those symptoms reduce in the ciletion process? Is those symptoms can be unreversible? Do you have recommends exept from magnesium? Is there any common sense in taking dmsa for 1 day, every 3-4 hours, and after it to do a break?

Hi there,
Yes, I've heard of this and have experienced it myself also. As far as I know, it's not irreversible, it does in fact improve. I remember seeing a woman with this who had it severely to the point it affected her physical appearance and after amalgam removal and detox, she came back to normal and the difference even in her face was quite remarkable.
I'm not sure what direct supplemental treatment to take for muscular weakness. I just found treating candida yeast, a good diet, and proper chelation (with healthy lifestyle), and supplement support (antioxidants mainly) eventually helped.
DMSA taken according to Cutler's protocol should be longer than one day rounds if possible (3 days at least). But I remember there were times I did one day when I simply could not do anymore. I would stop when I felt too weak/toxic, as detoxing can be very taxing. And I'd take a break of a few days and try again. I knew I should have gone for longer, but if you feel too weak and sickly, then sometimes you don't have alot of options. Sometimes I made it till 4 days, sometimes an entire week. My main fault back then was taking too high a dose of DMSA. I could have gone for longer had I reduced the dose (as I found out later).
So keep dose at a tolerable level and try and make it to 3 days if you can (e.g. over the weekend if you're working). Drink enough water to help your body with flushing toxins, and take enough antioxidant/mineral support during the day and stick with a good diet (sugar/gluten/yeast free if poss).
Getting enough salt in the diet is important too.
Having hot (not too hot) baths with the additon of epsom salts can be helpful for muscles.
This is pretty much all I can suggest. If you can do some gentle walking, it is wise to keep that up also. It aided the detox process for me quite substantially and kept up a certain amount of muscle strength, without over-taxing me.

For muscle weakness, I suggest that you take creatine, carnitine, choline, licorice root, and eat more potassium containing foods(fruits, vegetables, milk, yogurt, etc.) and increase your salt intake. Also you might not be drinking enough water. Magnesium is very important. So is zinc and vitamin B12. http://www.flcv.com/cfsfm.html

Thank you for the advises.
Is choline better than acetylcholine or Lethicine?
Do you know why is it 3 days in the ciletion process?

You're welcome Well, I think 3 days allows for more mercury removal and less redistribution than a shorter round might cause. Once you start chelation, your blood levels of the chelator will rise, then you want to keep that consistent by taking that dose every 4 hours (which is the longest time you can leave between doses or the levels will reduce/drop again) and keep it up for enough time so that some mercury will be hopefully removed. If you start a round and the round is only half a day or only one day, it will increase the risk of far more redistribution. The blood levels of chelator go up, and then don't get much time to gain a consistent level for a long enough time before you stop the round and they're suddenly reduced again. Although there is always going to be a certain amount of redistribution after stopping a round, you will be doing much more of that on only a one day round, than a longer round of 3 days or more (up to a week).

Hi, I started with 25 mg and I'm so tired from this..I'm thinking about reducing the amount to 12.5 mg..Does Andy Cutler also talk about up to a week round or just about round of 3 days?

25 mg is often still too much for many people. 12.5 mg should be ok. 3 days is now the recommended amount of time with the low starting dose, because so many people cannot handle higher dosing or long periods of time.
Andy used to recommend 50 mg, every 4 hours, for one week on, and one week off. But so many people could not handle this, so things have changed to accommodate those who are very toxic.
So typically now it's 12.5 mg, for 3 days on and then 3 days or more as a break and repeat this cycle. You may find over time that you can handle higher dosing and/or longer chelation rounds. But never make yourself go through more than you have to. This is simply about making things more comfortable for you as you reduce the blood levels of mercury. It is not mean to be agony!
A certain amount of symptoms may occur anyway, especially if you are REALLY toxic, but it should not be intolerable. If it is? Dose maybe too high, round maybe too long, OR in some cases, a person may have to take the doses even MORE often if they are a fast metaboliser. So 4 hours may have to be changed to every 3 hours. It depends how fast you use up the DMSA.
So a certain amount of experimentation maybe necessary to reach a point where things are more tolerable.
Believe it or not, there are some people who have had symptoms on 6 mg or less of DMSA, that how mercury toxic they are and how careful they must be with going slow and low.

are you taking the creatine and carnitine? I think those are really helping me.

I'm thinking of replacing the dmsa therapy with OSR. Is ciletion can't do a damage for the long run? What about PCA-rx?
I'm not taking creatine or caritine. I try to take more magnesium before.

My therapy suggests that the moucus in the throat can be candida/fungus/other in the esophagus that developed after the amalgam removal and recommends me on a procedure with squashed garlic in lukewarm water. I geuss you already understood why I'm not so enthusiastic to do it..If anybody has another therapy to suggest it will be good..I also has the muscle problems but I don't think it can explain this mucous so my therapy suggestion sound logical..
