The Social Contract by Robert Ardrey can be read online for free, it turns out.

I bought the book in a used book store in 1997, give or take. I liked it, although the style may not be to everyone's taste. I found some parts more enjoyable and informative than others; this is to be expected.

I thought about simply linking to the book in the links thread, but that thread seem to be neglected. I guess the title isn't appealing enough. It's a shame, because some pretty good links have accumulated there.

Another reason to start a new thread is the chance a discussion could commence. Checking out the book is, of course, merely a suggestion; but some passages may prove worthy of discussion.

It's actually a tricky book to track down because it shares the same title with a handful of other books.
